When Bella Hadid came to town
The Malaysian capital received a sprinkling of stardust in late November when supermodel and social media icon Bella Hadid made her first appearance in Southeast Asia as Tag Heuer’s brand ambassador.
Kicking off her Malaysian debut with a brief visit to the brand’s boutique at The Gardens Mall, Hadid greeted a crowd of adoring fans while sporting a bright pink, diamond-studded Tag Heuer Link timepiece.
During the meet and greet session, she described her own experiences of refusing to crack under the pressure of intense Fashion Week shows, lifting the lid on the blood, sweat, and tears involved backstage behind the catwalk. Hadid was then spirited away to a by-invitation-only party at the St Regis Kuala Lumpur, hosted by Amelia Sillard, Vice-President of Tag Heuer, Southeast Asia.
Proving she embodied the brand’s spirit of avant-garde, innovation, and disruption, Hadid was even brave enough to try her hand at a joint drumming performance with the Hands Percussion ensemble, before leaving for her next Tag Heuer appearance in Tokyo.
