A rocky ride
The Stevenson Brothers, who count Joanna Lumley and Frankie Dettori among their fans, are equestrian experts. And by that we mean that they produce the best rocking horses in the world, each lovingly hand-crafted in their studio in Kent. Alongside their usual collection, they also make some unique steeds, including a zebra, a tiger, a horse celebrating the Queen’s Golden Jubilee and now Crystal, touted as the world’s first Swarovski crystal rocking horse.
The first in a line of a collaborations between Stevenson Brothers and Fernandes Exquisite Creations, Crystal is covered in some 80,000 crystals. Nuno and Rebecca Fernandes, the ballroom dancer couple that owns Fernandes Exquisite Creations, commissioned the design and embellished the rocking horse, which took almost six months to complete by twins Marc and Tony Stevenson. Shimmering and glittering in the light, it seems appropriate that Crystal is meant to enthral a child this Christmas. A child whose parents have £98,400 (RM506,000) to spare, that is.
