Dreaming of a red christmas
Tis’ the season to be jolly, TWG Style. This Christmas, TWG Tea transforms icy snowflakes into steaming drops of tea as it unveils its 2016 Holiday Collection, available at all TWG Tea outlets in Malaysia over December.
First up is the TWG Tea Festive Menu. Putting an eclectic spin on the concept of a Christmas dinner, this menu takes you around the world. For starters, Europe is represented by a Cured Salmon Timbale, a stacked tower that begins with salmon cured with Smoky Russian Tea, stacked above layers of creamy avocado, sweet mango and pomegranate, while the other option of a roasted Winter Squash Soup looks east, with hints of warm ginger and red pepper purée. The mains go from traditional – a Chicken Supreme (stuffed with prawn mousse) and Herb-crusted Lamb Cutlets with a mushroom risotto – to tangential, a Black Cod with Dashi Broth. Tea makes an appearance in all of the dishes, from the Phuguri Darjeeling-infused bread that accompanies the soup to the dashi broth flavoured with Meleng FBOP and French Earl Grey. Tea also asserts a subtle presence in the dessert – a modern take on Christmas Log Cake with accompanying brew chosen from TWG’s vast range of teas.
