After the praise generated for the Rolls-Royce Wraith Inspired by Fashion edition in 2015, a cool take on the legendary motoring marque, here is the sequel: the Rolls-Royce Dawn Inspired by Fashion.
With not one, not two, but three different variations, the new Dawn line follows the Wraith Inspired by Fashion in providing a stark blank Andalucian white canvas. Where the Wraith sparingly used accents of green, red or purple on the exterior, Dawn Inspired by Fashion goes for a bold splash of colour. Specifically on the folding roof, with the three flavours being Mugello Red, Cobalt Blue or Mandarin. The same colours are replicated inside, as vibrant accents on the headrests and seat piping against the perfectly white hue.
But more than just colours, design director Giles Taylor enlisted aid from the world of fashion, fine textiles and luxury accessories, including leather technologist Michelle Lusby formerly of Mulberry, resulting in a range of fine silks and unexpected textures strewn across the interior. The piano-white dashboard, for example, incorporates embedded aluminium particles for a silky appearance that takes nine days to complete. If nothing else, it just proves the sheer versatility of Rolls-Royce, which can go from formal to fashionable in the blink of an eye.
