a monument in crystal
The iconic shape of the Louis XIII decanter just got a little bigger. Louis XIII presents the one-of-a-kind Le Salmanazar, crafted by 20 master crystal craftsmen and a master sculptor from the house of Baccarat. A wine bottle measure named after an Assyrian king, Le Salmanazar contains 9 litres of precious Louis XIII and is quite possibly the largest crystal cognac decanter in the world. It is a unique feat not unusual to Louis XIII, which has also created a film and a song that will only be unveiled a hundred years from now – a testament to the enduring appeal of its elixir.
Painstakingly created from over 15 kilos of crystal, there is only one Louis XIII Le Salmanazar in the world. Presented in an elegant display chest – with 8 crystal glasses, a serving platter and a specially designed spear – Le Salmanazar will only be available at the world’s first (and only) Louis XIII Boutique in Beijing SKP for a cool price of €350,000 (RM1.69 million). An extravagant amount, that is true, but an achievement this great and a cognac this precious is worth it.
