Pininfarina is most famously known for their work with Italian motoring powerhouses like Ferrari and Alfa Romeo, but the company has come a long way from being a simple coachbuilder based out of Turin. These days, it is a design powerhouse with their hands in not just the automotive design, but in all sorts of transportation, industrial and architecture circles as well.
For something from these design icons that’s a little more personal, one can look to the official Pininfarina Concept Store. It is full of everyday items and accessories that bear the hallmark Italian flair and elegance you would expect from the brand. One such line-up is the Forever Pininfarina Folio Leather & Wood Collection, a collaboration with fellow Italian design agency NAPKIN. The collection consists of a line of two-tone accessories, made out of two materials: nappa leather, and a revolutionary and patented fabric called Ligneah, which is made out of wood. The result is a contrasting array of dark leather and light, organic wood, a combination suitable for anything from a
trip to the grocery store to a high-powered boardroom meeting.
The collection’s highlight is a shoulder bag that can double as a backpack (€250/RM1,200), but there is also an iPad holder, wallet, cardholder, and keychain.
