Hublot hosts a Match of Friendship with Diego Maradona, José Mourinho and Usain Bolt

all of the lights

There are legends. And then there are Legends. For Baselworld 2018, the trio that Hublot invited to stage a ‘Match of Friendship’ to count down to the 2018 FIFA World Cup that will feature its new Big Bang Referee 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia is most certainly the latter. Diego Maradona – He who possesses the Hand of God. José Mourinho – that perennial lifter of football trophies. And Usain Bolt – the man born with blessed feet.

Refereed with Nicola Rizzoli (who sported his Big Bang Referee 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia smart watch), the match kicked off on a temporary football pitch created in Hall 4 at Baselworld. Maradona and Mourinho each managed a team, which included some very familiar faces. Maradona’s team included Gianni Infantino, Christian Karembeu, Hernan Crespo, Roberto Carlos and David Trezeguet, while Mourinho’s team included Robbie Keane, Damien Duff, Marcel Desailly, Patrick Kluivert and the fleet-footed himself, Usain Bolt. With Alan Shearer and Michel Pont serving as emcees, the match proved to be a true match of equal skills – finishing at an equal 11-11 when the The Big Bang Referee 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia counted down to the last second.
