On a cool Saturday evening, the roar of V12s announced the arrival of a supercar convoy at newly launched Geo Resort & Hotel, a five-star establishment located at Genting Permai. This special preview night of the property saw an estimated 80 guests arriving in a mouth-watering display of mechanical marvels, among them; the Ferrari 812 Superfast, Lamborghini SVJ, McLaren 570S and Porsche GT3 RS.
A pre-dinner cocktail began with smoked duck and camembert with fig skewers and crabmeat with salmon roe with mango salsa. T’Lur, Malaysia’s first and only local caviar – was present to offer a tastings of their delicious caviar range from a Siberian-originated sturgeon as well as a blind tasting of other variants.
The caviar was ably amplified by The Glenlivet 18 Year Old, a single malt which offered a nose of sultanas and apple blossom, and a palate of honey and orange peel. Guests then proceeded to sit down to dinner at the Geo Resort & Hotel’s restaurant Glas Haus, which, as its name suggests, was filled with natural light pouring into the space. On the tables were travel-sized samples from Japanese skincare brand Decorte showcasing its AQ range of hydrating lotion, wash, brightening serum and softening emulsion.
As the night segued from the salmon tartare to a quail consommé and herb-crusted lamb rack, guests were treated to market insights by Bradbury Asset Management, an investment management company established in Hong Kong since 2012. Bradbury Group’s CEO Keith Loo was there to present viewpoints on US-China trade relations and its repercussions on the global economy. As the dinner came to a close, the smooth strains of music regaled the crowd. The ever-popular Martell Cordon Bleu made its appearance, perfectly accompanied by the masterful selections of Cigar Emperor, which showcased its range of cigars; Cuban, Dominican, Honduran, Brazilian and Nicaraguan.
