Thanksgiving is right around the corner and The Ritz-Carlton, Kuala Lumpur has arranged two special affairs to celebrate with family and friends.
On November 28 from 2:30PM to 6PM, partake in a leisurely Thanksgiving afternoon tea (RM80 per person) at The Lobby Lounge. Traditional foods eaten during this celebration receive a twist, featuring turkey and mushroom puffs, cranberry scones, scotch eggs and a selection of Thanksgiving-inspired desserts. The experience is made all the sweeter with a selection of fine Ronnefeldt teas and relaxing melodies played by the hotel’s resident quartet.

For a hearty Thanksgiving dinner, indulge at The Library from 7PM to 11PM, where resident Chef Wai has crafted an ingredient-focused four-course menu (RM300 and RM450 for wine pairing per person).
The menu starts off with house-smoked Scottish salmon, served with beetroot, fresh dill, arugula leaves, cured vine-ripened cherry tomatoes and an English honey mustard dressing. Next, spiced butternut squash cream soup with crème fraîche, chives, butter croutons and a dash of aromatic herb oil, moves things forward.
The meal crescendos when the main course arrives in the form of the carver trolley, with a selection of either classic roast turkey or roast beef. The turkey comes with all the trimmings – cornbread, butter-charred winter vegetables and apple and cranberry sauce. The beef takes the same cue, featuring mashed pumpkin, buttered French beans, sautéed mushrooms and a rich gravy.
For dessert, nosh on pumpkin pecan cheese cake and chocolate crumble, completed with freshly whipped vanilla Chantilly, berries and vanilla ice cream.
