To celebrate its longstanding association with equestrian practices which dates back to the 19th century, Longines has released the unusual and highly exclusive Equestrian Pocket Watch collection. There are eight expressions of these solid gold pocket watches, all limited to 20 pieces and decorated with ornate engravings. One of these is the Farm House 1912 (RM208,570).
Inspired by vintage timepieces from that year, its 18-carat rose gold case is 48mm in diameter and has covers on both front and back that depict a horse and rider making their way through an idyllic countryside landscape. Beneath the front cover is the white lacquer dial, including a classical layout of painted roman numerals and small seconds subdial. The hand-wound movement within has a power reserve of 53 hours.
