On a recent evening in the heart of Kuala Lumpur, clients of Affin Invikta – a new banking experience by Affin Bank – were treated to an exclusive dinner at ATAS restaurant at The RuMa Hotel and Residences. Affin Invikta, which aims to support clients in their financial planning and achieving financial goals, also integrates business and leisure event programming into its diverse offerings, and this dinner was a celebration of the culinary high points which have made Atas restaurant one of the city’s buzziest establishments for elevated gastronomy.
Across a five-course menu curated by Tyson Gee, executive chef of The RuMa Hotel and Residences, guests savoured a cornucopia of contemporary European cuisine merged with fresh local produce such as highland peppers, Thai basil, pomegranates and single-origin Malaysia chocolate. These culinary creations such as a dry-aged duck breast redolent with black truffle were paired with a series of single-malt Scotch by Tomatin, starting with delicate fruity notes of the Tomatin Legacy, right up to the Tomatin 30 Year Old which carries a honeyed, creamy finish.
