Spanning over 120,000 square feet across four floors, Aurum Theatre at The Exchange TRX boasts 11 state-of-the-art cinema halls, new F&B concepts and, an events venue with a belle epoque-inspired bar which towers across a triple volume atrium.

“The launch of Aurum Theatre, The Exchange TRX marks a positive start to the year with the opening of our 56th cinema location, unveiling the largest ultra-luxurious entertainment experience in South-east Asia,” said  Koh Mei Lee, Chief Executive Officer, Golden Screen Cinemas, at the official launch. “Brought to life in collaboration with our partners, our integrated offerings at Aurum Theatre, The Exchange TRX reiterates our commitment to bringing innovative, future-ready experiences for movie-goers to enjoy. Escape Studio 3 – Couture and Sophisticated fashion themed hall, inspired by The Devil Wears Prada.

The elegant spaces of Aurum Theatre lead into ultimate cinematic experiences such as an IMAX hall with 12-channel sound. Meanwhile, the largest ScreenX offers 270-degree panoramic viewing, with fully reclinable seats. Patrons of these screens also get complimentary snacks and drinks with their movie passes. A partnership with Maybank has also resulted in Maybank-branded Comfort Cabins with new Stressless recliners – a Nordic-originated technology which has resulted in comfort design and features to suit the human anatomy.

Escape Studio 4 – Rhapsody, music themed hall, inspired by the essence of live performances and theatrical experiences.

A duo of Getha Lux Suites offer luxurious beds and a mini fridge, as well as Dolby Atmos audio for when you want to elevate date nights. And of course, the always popular Escape Studio halls return with four distinct concepts; La Romance (inspired by Paris and love), the monochromatically stylish Couture, a music-themed Rhapsody hall, and a brilliant Neon Nippon hall which recalls Shinjuku’s never-ending bustle.

Even if you’re not the movie-going type, Aurum Theatre at The Exchange TRX now offers Japaneasy F&B concepts which will offer plenty of interest for those looking for a new experience. The casual Kissa Café and Diner serves up Japanese-western food inspired by Japanese kissatens with classic burgers, umami fries, chicken and prawn cobb salads, smoky duck sandos, ramen, and Japanese-inflected pastas. Specialty drinks include the Galaxy Lemonade, Sweet Potato Latte, Cheese Mousse Matcha and Mocha Cheese Foam.

Meanwhile, the Hokkaido Table presents a Japanese-Italian fusion menu with restaurant, bar and omakase across lunch (RM288) and dinner (from RM488 for a six-course menu). A sashimi moriawase starter could segue into signature lobster linguine, uni tagliatelle, truffle mushroom risotto, and desserts which run the gamut of tiramisu, strawberry shortcake and burnt cheesecake.
