UOB Malaysia recently partnered with Belgian luxury brand Delvaux to host a private event for its Privilege Banking and Private Bank customers, featuring an exclusive preview of Delvaux’s Autumn/Winter 2024 collection titled Savoirs & Savoir-faire. A Master Artisan workshop, conducted by a skilled craftsman from Delvaux’s original atelier in Brussels, was also held during the event, which offered guests a unique insider experience of the high-end craftsmanship that takes place in luxury fashion. Delvaux’s latest collection for this season features limited-edition pieces such as the Caprice bag and L’Airess tote, as well as made-to-order items.
Ng Wei Wei, CEO of UOB Malaysia, emphasised the importance of this collaboration as a testament to UOB’s commitment to enhancing the lifestyles of the bank’s high-net-worth clients. “As Delvaux’s sole bank partner in Malaysia, we are proud to provide our valued customers with exclusive access to the world of luxury fashion,” Ng said. “This collaboration reflects our commitment to providing unparalleled privileges and unique experiences through partnerships with top global brands”.
The event also invited prominent female leaders—such as Julie Verlinden, chief commercial officer of Delvaux, and Jerri Ng, chief marketing officer of Delvaux Asia Pacific—in an exclusive sharing session with Ng, during which they discussed the importance of women’s contribution to business and society. They offered their personal perspectives on how women could take on leadership roles to enrich the corporate world.
This event complemented UOB’s initiatives in building long-term relationships with high-net-worth clients and providing personalised experiences by offering more than 1,000 exclusive travel, dining, and shopping offers across Southeast Asia. This is in addition to the many exclusive collaborations with Michelin-starred chefs and top international artists such as Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran. For instance, UOB recently partnered with South Korea’s Woori Card, a Korean card company owned by Wooribank, by providing reciprocal privileges to UOB customers travelling to South Korea and Woori card holders visiting ASEAN.
Thanks to the overwhelmingly positive feedback from attendees of the event with Delvaux, UOB Malaysia’s vision for customer engagement has been strongly reinforced, as all attendees expressed their gratitude to the bank for creating the opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals, UOB leaders, and Delvaux’s master artisans. In a statement, UOB Malaysia said that they aim to open future collaborations with Delvaux and other luxury brands, and will continue to provide tailor-made experiences for their customers’ lifestyle needs and preferences.
