What’s New In Luxury Living This Year

Here are some of the most talked-about new releases in art, design, and living.

Often, the highest form of design speaks to us not through words, but through sensation—how a chair embraces, how a surface warms to touch, or how light falls across a material. It is a language of feeling before it is one of thought. Spaces are no longer merely functional; they are arresting, transportive, and almost filmic in their atmosphere. Seen across Milan and independent launches alike, these new design feats imagine living environments as curated ecosystems, contributing to a global dialogue on living well.

Minotti

The Minotti Pavilion at this year’s Salone del Mobile.Milano unveiled the brand’s 2025 collection across five immersive settings, each demonstrating an inventive take on contemporary living. The pavilion’s spatial backdrop was enriched with cultural and artistic influences, featuring a selection of works from the Florentine art gallery Tornabuoni Arte. Curated by Minotti Studio, the concept spotlights the distinct design language of five different creators, reimagining the experience of modern indoor and outdoor spaces across residential and hospitality settings. Each backdrop introduced a new seating system: Bézier by Marcio Kogan / Studio MK27, Coupé by Giampiero Tagliaferri, Riley by Hannes Peer, Saki by Nendo, and Vivienne by GamFratesi.

Rimadesio

Giuseppe Bavuso, the architect and designer behind many of Rimadesio’s collections, is known for his rigorous minimalism and emphasis on technical experimentation. His latest range of furnishing elements shares a strong, stylistic identity that reflects the brand’s philosophy of cohesive design. From hand-sanded wooden frames to stitched leather trims and tabletops finished with the new Terrae treatment, the collection is built upon a continuous exploration of textures, surfaces, and colour schemes. This brings together the Lambda table with sleek, fluid lines; the wooden-framed Sinua chair and armchair; the Wabi chair with delicate rope and leather details; the Sophis chair with its wide, embracing backrest; and the Nest swivel armchair with soft contours and comfortable upholstery.

Gallotti&Radice

Compared to past presentations that focused on showcasing individual pieces, Gallotti&Radice staged an immersive, lived-in concept at this year’s Salone, with interconnected spaces—lounges, dining areas, bedrooms—unfolding like a real home. Sustainability was front and centre, with sculptural new pieces by contributing designers, including the Arch coffee table and Loulou Rock chair by david/nicolas; Mirage coffee table, Selce Console, and H2O Lounge by Studiopepe; Stresa shelf by Dainelli Studio; Olivia armchair by Martina e Massimo Castagna; Saki chair by Oscar e Gabriele Buratti, Tratto hanging lamp by Draga & Aurel; and the Sensei Night bedside table by Tollgard + Castellani.

Poltrona Frau

Poltrona Frau’s collaboration with Six N Five, the digital art studio led by Argentinian artist Ezequiel Pini, brings digital dreamscapes to life through tailored craftsmanship. This capsule, part of the brand’s broader 2025 collection The Five Seasons, stands apart in its conceptual depth and use of textural features to depict an affective undertone within domestic spaces. Debuted at this year’s Milan Design Week, the capsule includes two lighting pieces—Moonbeam and Foliage—alongside the Memoria rug. Moonbeam is a sculptural table lamp inspired by a lunar eclipse, made with a satin-finish glass disc partially cloaked in Pelle Frau leather and supported by a brass frame, with tuneable lighting ranging from warm to cool tones. Foliage, a floor lamp, mimics a stylised tree with brass branches and leather-covered leaves that cast ambient, halo-like glows on surrounding walls. Lastly, the Memoria rug introduces a tactile, ethereal dimension, hand-knotted in silk with abstract light-reflective motifs.

Rolls-Royce

A conceptual interpretation of one of the world’s most revered mind sports, the Rolls-Royce Chess Set is a sculptural marvel. Handcrafted using the same components found in Rolls-Royce motor cars, it features a leather-clad base inspired by the marque’s automotive lines, with a board that opens in a smooth, theatrical motion to reveal magnetically held pieces. Each chess piece is sculpted from ceramic-coated aluminium and crowned with jewel-like stainless-steel heads, offering tactile weight and balance. Concealed magnets beneath the board ensure precise alignment during play, while discreet drawers on each side house additional queens for promoted pieces. The set is available in four veneer combinations arranged in diamond patterns, with a choice of open-pore or high-gloss finishes. Players may personalise their set with a selection of 13 Rolls-Royce leather colours.

Dornbracht

Centred around its 75th anniversary and the launch of its bespoke offering, Dornbracht Atelier, the brand presented a showcase anchored by its renewed motto, Inspiring Your Vision. The collection introduced one-of-a-kind fittings that offer unparalleled creative freedom. New creations include a swan-like tap revived from the 1960s archive design, the Vaia series rendered in shell, leather, or velvet mosaic finishes, and custom variations of classic fittings such as the Tara and CYO. These works were displayed across a two-storey Space of Discovery in Milan’s Brera district, where the lower level resembled an art gallery of handcrafted fittings, while the upper floor immersed visitors in Dornbracht’s evolving universe of wellness technologies. This included experiential water systems such as the Aquahalo chandelier-inspired shower and the Serenity Sky rain panel.

Ceccotti Collezioni

The new Rituals—Stories of Gestures collection by Ceccotti Collezioni is a deeply considered exploration of how design reframes the rhythms of everyday life. Informed by the cadence of domestic rituals—such as making tea, dressing, or preparing for rest—the collection reimagines furniture as intimate companions to these gestures. Christophe Pillet’s Teahouse suite interprets the tradition of the Japanese tea ceremony through a minimalist low chair, table, cabinet, and console, crafted in solid American walnut wood with chamfered edges, leather straps, and brushed brass accents. Roberto Lazzeroni expands his Duo line (co-designed with Poltrona Frau) into a complete bedroom ensemble designed to support moments of dressing, grooming, and winding down. This includes a bed, bedside tables, a tallboy chest, a triptych mirror, a mirrored vanity, and a valet stand. The new Janine Lounge offers a deeper, more enveloping take on the original armchair, while the Full Island acts as a functional chest to complement dressing rooms or walk-in closets.

Henry Jacques

Cultivated in the South of France, Henry Jacques’ Collection de l’Atelier 2024 is built around the maison’s second-ever Rose de Mai harvest. Each of the 500 hand-numbered sets features a refined triptych of 30ml Les Essences flacons, housed in a bespoke artisanal chest. The collection presents three distinct interpretations of the same rare bloom: Rose Alba evokes a comforting, dawn-like freshness with mint and cedarwood; Rose Très Rose deepens the rose with layers of jasmine, iris, oud, and patchouli; while Rose Zephyr brings a buoyant twist with ylang-ylang, raspberry accord, geranium, tuberose, and Cuvée Dehen el Oudh.

Ducati and Lamborghini

Following the livery of the Ducati Streetfighter V4 Lamborghini and the Diavel 1260 Lamborghini, the Ducati Panigale V4 Lamborghini delivers yet another adrenaline-charged fusion of speed, power, and presence. This latest offshoot between two flagships of Italian engineering is modelled after the Lamborghini Revuelto. Unveiled during Milan Design Week at Teatro Alcione, the bike mirrors the aggressive design language of its four-wheeled counterpart with carbon fibre bodywork, lightweight forged aluminium wheels, and a specially fitted titanium Akrapovič exhaust. Powered by a 1,103cc Desmosedici Stradale engine, it features Öhlins electronically controlled suspension, Brembo Stylema callipers, and advanced rider aids, including Ducati’s latest traction control and quick shift systems. Limited to just 630 units worldwide—with an additional 63 units reserved exclusively for Lamborghini customers—it also offers custom livery, seat upholstery, and a matching carbon fibre key.

Ralph Lauren

In celebration of more than 40 years of lifestyle-led design, Ralph Lauren brought the best of Americana to the city of Milan with four of its signature living concepts—Estate, Island, Penthouse, and Western—at the Palazzo Ralph Lauren. Arresting and atmospheric, each setting captured the designer’s imaginative world-building through space and form, featuring Italian-made bespoke furnishings crafted in partnership with Haworth Lifestyle. Meanwhile, the new Fall 2025 Canyon Road Collection draws on the authenticity of the American West, particularly textured landscapes and artisanal heritage of the Southwest region. Minimalist in form yet rich in materiality, the collection carries symbolism of Navajo design with contributions from seventh-generation Diné weavers Naiomi and Tyler Glasses. Pared-back furniture pieces are made with materials such as rustic oak and hand-burnished saddle leather, finished with artisanal techniques and detailing.

Moritz Grossmann

The Art Edition Max Frintrop by Moritz Grossmann is a dynamic confluence of horology and contemporary art, comprising 16 one-of-a-kind timepieces created in partnership with Düsseldorf-based abstract painter Max Frintrop. Each dial is crafted from a thin slice of Frintrop’s studio floor—an accidental canvas layered with years of spontaneous paint splatters. These 0.1 to 0.5mm fragments are preserved in their raw, textural form, transforming each piece into a wearable abstract artwork. Housed in either 18k rose gold or polished stainless-steel cases, they are powered by the finely finished, manual-winding calibre 100.1. Subtle yet refined, each piece is paired with a hand-stitched kudu leather strap, a sapphire crystal caseback engraved with Frintrop’s signature, and a clean dial free of hour markers to preserve the integrity of the artistic surface.

Roche Bobois

The French-based furniture house’s new Cromática collection, created in collaboration with Spanish filmmaker Pedro Almodóvar, is a colourful synthesis of cinema and décor. Inspired by Almodóvar’s distinctive use of chromatics and imagery, the collection reimagines signature Roche Bobois pieces with theatrical flair. Among the highlights is a limited-edition reinterpretation of the Mah Jong modular sofa—only 50 numbered and signed pieces—upholstered in fabrics printed with stills and posters from films such as Volver and Talk to Her. The filmmaker also lent his creative eye to colourful reissues of the Bubble sofa, coffee and cocktail tables, and the Rondo sideboard, as well as rugs and cushions that mirror his filmic sensibility. Complementing his vision is a flamboyant capsule by his longtime Spanish muse Rossy de Palma, featuring surreal eye-shaped vanity mirrors, fan-inspired vases, graphic rugs, and lamps reminiscent of traditional Spanish peinetas (traditional decorative combs).

Poggenpohl

An artisanal expression of kitchen craftsmanship, Poggenpohl’s Beauphoria collection reimagines classic cabinetmaking through architectural-grade materials, hand-finished surfaces, and intricate structural detailing. Materials range from richly grained oak and brushed metal to recycled-glass ceramics and dramatic stones such as Rosso Lepanto and Nero Portoro marble. In this series, the Diamond variation features a geometric grid referencing the original 60×60 modular system, using contrasting colours and textures to create a three-dimensional presence. Meanwhile, the Wing concept offers a modern take on the traditional frame-front, defined by fluid, sloped lines. Both models contain double-thick fronts, aluminium frame accents, and an adaptive dialogue of light and shadow. Additional elements include softly lit Showcase display cabinets and the customisable Array 170 shelving system.

Ernestomeda

Visualised by art director Giuseppe Bavuso, Ernestomeda’s new collection Sign Round embraces soft, rounded contours that nod to mid-century aesthetics. Key elements include the Snack Plane table that gracefully extends from the island, the Able worktop crafted from stone composites, and a curved-glass Screen that subtly delineates spatial flow. Alongside Sign Round, the One80 collection has been updated with refreshed materials and technical applications developed by the brand’s in-house R&D team.

B&B Italia

The Collection Amplified merges architectural rigour with refined materiality in a curated ensemble of indoor and outdoor settings. Among B&B Italia’s latest offerings are Cocùn by Antonio Citterio, a modular seating system with fluid, enveloping forms; Metropolitan Relax by Jeffrey Bernett, an ergonomically engineered lounge chair equipped with rocking and swivelling mechanisms; and Flat.C Frame by Citterio, a load-bearing living storage unit designed to function independently of wall support. These novelties appear alongside updated editions of Tufty-Time by Patricia Urquiola, Charles by Citterio, and Diesis by Citterio and Paolo Nava.

Giorgetti

Central to Giorgetti’s new collection is the Giorgetti Maserati Edition, an Italian-made collaboration that equally adopts form and utility. This series introduces several conceptual keystones, including the Lorelai armchair, whose figurative silhouette recalls the dynamic curves of Maserati interiors, and the Teti pouf, a versatile piece offered as either an upholstered ottoman or a glass-topped storage unit that subtly references Maserati’s exhaust forms. Additional featured pieces include the Seidon modular sofa system, Ligea armchair, Ploto and Sibilia tables, and the richly textured Nemeris rug—each named after mythological sea figures. This mytho-industrial aesthetic extends outdoors with the Moorea collection by Carlo Colombo, while new additions such as the Tiber and Tiberina tables by Virginia Harper and the Floria table by Pierre-Yves Rochon expanded Giorgetti’s material vocabulary with stone, leather, and wood.

Porro

For its centennial presentation at this year’s Salone, Porro uncovered a line-up of contemporary pieces by key collaborators. Among them, Piero Lissoni introduced the Tablo dining table, defined by its industrial-inspired base and glossy verde gris glass top, alongside the Ferro low table in metallic royal blue finish. Francesco Rota presented the modular Tobu sofa, bringing focus to its floor-level seating and inclined backrests set within an extruded aluminium frame, while Christophe Pillet added a structured touch with the Cargo sofa. Dordoni Studio’s Twin sideboard made an architectural statement with intersecting geometric forms and mirrored panels, referencing constructivist ideals. Updates to Porro’s signature systems were also revealed, including the suspended Modern units in Santos rosewood, the Materic Ovale table in dark-stained ash, and refreshed versions of the Endless Shelf and Boutique Mask bookcase.
