L’Épi De Blé de Chaumet High Jewellery Collection Is Enhanced With New Pieces

In 1811, Chaumet created wheat tiaras favoured by the Empress Josephine, a motif embodying abundance, prosperity, and the poetry of nature. More than two centuries on, this motif continues to reign as one of the maison’s most beloved signatures and is reimagined through several stunning pieces, including earrings and a ring that appears as if it is swaying in the breeze. The parure, which would not appear amiss on a Greek goddess, consists of a contemporary bandeau tiara and a necklace featuring finely chiselled ears of wheat, as well as a ring dazzling with a two-carat, pear-shaped diamond, and a pair of earrings also set with one-carat, pear-shaped diamonds.

The hotel is reviving a beloved chapter of Malaysia’s fine dining heritage with Chalet, a limited-time pop-up at The Conservatory, Level 3, until 30 August 2025. First established in 1974 at the former Hotel Equatorial Kuala Lumpur, Chalet was famed for its Swiss classics, tableside presentations, and European-style hospitality. Artist Leon Leong To Present His First Solo Exhibition At Wei-Ling Gallery

Leon Leong will showcase his first solo presentation at Wei-Ling Gallery, titled Making Room, from 2 to 30 August 2025. It will exhibit a suite of miniatures against a wooden skeletal frame, its structure recounting the huts that once populated Kampung Baru in Kuala Lumpur. His meditation on memory is enriched by the gallery’s physical space, a heritage shophouse transformed into a site dedicated to cultivating Malaysia’s contemporary art scene. Growing up as the son of a diaspora in Ipoh’s multiracial community, the artist occupies liminal spaces in life and art. Leong’s exhibitions are esteemed: his previous work, Stilt Houses—The Floating World of Kampung Baru 2022, earned the jury prize at the IX Tashkent International Biennale of Contemporary Art. Obsessed with the idiosyncratic clashes between past and present, he continues to locate their lingering traces in our environment.

Visit the exhibition at Wei-Ling Gallery, 8, Jalan Scott, Brickfields, 50470 Kuala Lumpur.
