Poltrona Frau Contributes Towards The Restoration of Rome’s Teatro Della Cometa
The theatre, located in the heart of the ancient city, was originally designed in 1958 by architect Tomaso Buzzi and Countess Anna Laetitia Pecci. It had been closed for five years for renovation work, which involved Poltrona Frau in the design and production of its new seats. The Customs Interiors Business Unit of the Italian brand, which has been producing high-end furnishings since 1912, came up with a solution that sees three different heights for the main hall’s seats (providing optimal vantage points and comfort for the audience), carefully engineered backrests and seat inclines, and refined adjustments for the theatre’s stalls and two balconies. Although every armchair features modern features as well as upholstery from Rubelli fabrics, they seamlessly blend with and into the history and atmosphere of Teatro Della Cometa, while also abiding by safety regulations.
