Lürssen is on a serious roll. The German builder has delivered two superyachts in as many months, further asserting its position at the forefront of the marine industry. The latest fleet member, christened Haven, left Lürssen’s shipyard on Monday, June 17 to embark on her maiden voyage.
Hull 13775, previously known as Project Cali, spans 269 feet (82 meters) from bow to stern, making it one of the largest tri-deck superyachts currently cruising the high seas. The exterior was developed in-house by Lürssen designer Jim Robert Sluijter. The vessel showcases a low profile with long, elegant lines and a sleek steel hull. The aluminum superstructure is also adorned with sinuous concave patterns that reflect the movement of waves when the sun is in the right position.
“Haven feels very different from many other yachts; she has a practical and functional design that places great emphasis on outdoor living,” Sluijter said in a statement. “Thanks to an interplay of light and glazing, all interior spaces are well connected with the outdoors.”
Haven was built for an experienced owner who requested generous outdoor space, a family-oriented layout, and storage for water toys. With an impressive beam of 41 feet, the spacious yacht can comfortably accommodate all three requests. The contemporary interior was brought to life by RWD, with the British studio opting for natural materials, asymmetrical shapes, and striking artwork.
“Our team went on a journey with the owners and their family to create a distinct design vocabulary, with subtly crafted details that create a playful and timeless interior,” adds Mattia Mazzucchi, head of interiors at RWD. “Through the combination of curated pieces and custom designs, every inch of Haven will be beautiful, personal, and functional.”
Given the owner’s love of outdoor activities, the exterior decks are brimming with cool features. The beach club on the lower deck sports large terraces on either side that can expand to create more space for the family, while a sizable swim platform provides quick and easy access to the sea. In addition, the sprawling sundeck is outfitted with a Jacuzzi, a lounge, an outdoor cinema, a bar, and an alfresco dining area with a barbecue and pizza oven for gourmands.
In addition to launching Haven, Lürssen delivered the 400-foot Kismet to Jacksonville Jaguars owner Shahid Khan on May 7. On a roll, indeed.
