The Kasper 7 is a superyacht that quietly commands attention, blending refined design with technical precision. Built by the iconic Italian shipyard Benetti, this 67m vessel represents a harmonious fusion of elegance and innovation. Owned by Nisrine Karagulla (pictured below, centre), interior designer and founder of Ask Deco, the Kasper 7 has earned accolades at the 2025 Design and Innovation Awards for Best Interior Design and Best Naval Architecture, highlighting its exceptional craftsmanship and visionary approach to yachting.
As founder of Ask Deco, an interior design and architecture firm based in Beirut, Lebanon, Karagulla brought her extensive expertise in luxury real estate to this project. Harnessing her firm’s expertise in blending functionality with refined aesthetics is evident in every detail, from the bespoke furnishings to the seamless integration of natural light.
A Vision Realised
Benetti’s expertise in custom yacht construction is also showcased in the Kasper 7. Designed in collaboration with Giorgio M. Cassetta for its exterior and Karagulla for its interiors, the yacht achieves a seamless balance between performance and aesthetic sophistication.
Its hull has been meticulously optimised for cruising speed navigation, enabling improved fuel efficiency while maintaining an impressive range for extended voyages. With a top speed of 16 knots, the vessel combines eco-conscious innovation with technical excellence, earning a prestigious three-star SEA Index certification, recognising its reduced CO2 emissions and eco-conscious design.
“The Kasper 7 embodies our dream of creating a true home on the water—warm, inviting, effortlessly elegant,” Karagulla said, explaining her vision for the yacht. “We wanted guests to feel welcome and connected to the ocean from the moment they step aboard.”
Signature Features
Step aboard the Kasper 7, and you are immediately struck by its expansive use of light and space. The Main Deck lounge spans more than 10m from bulwark to bulwark, creating an open and airy environment that feels both luxurious and welcoming. Four circular windows, each nearly 2m in diameter, flood the interiors with natural light while framing breathtaking ocean views. These distinctive architectural elements were strongly desired by Karagulla to establish a connection between the yacht’s interiors and the surrounding marine environment.
“The circular windows were designed to frame the beauty of the scenery outside while enhancing the sense of openness within,” she explains. “Their playful yet elegant design creates an emotional connection between the interiors and nature.”
Inside, the yacht’s minimalist design evokes the relaxed ambience of a summer house. Fine materials, such as oak, cross-cut travertine, and white perpero wood, lend warmth and sophistication, while bespoke furnishings and curated artworks transform each space into a gallery-like setting. Notable pieces, include Ugo Rondinone’s Mattituck im Mai series and Alex Katz’s Flower, add character to the refined interiors without overwhelming their understated elegance.
The Kasper 7’s recognition at the Design and Innovation Awards highlights its unique synergy between form and function. Judges praised its bold interior design as reminiscent of an art gallery filled with fascinating objets d’art, while admiring its hydrodynamic efficiency that ensures optimal performance at sea. “Winning both awards is incredibly rewarding because they represent two sides of the same coin—the yacht’s foundation and its soul,” Karagulla reflects.
Luxury Meets Sustainability
Beyond its aesthetic appeal, Kasper 7 is a testament to eco-conscious innovation. The uniform use of Forest Stewardship Council (FSC)-certified teak throughout its decks recalls the sinuous lines of a sailing boat while reinforcing its commitment to sustainability. Every design choice—from its fuel-efficient hull to smart lighting systems—was made with environmental stewardship in mind. “Sustainability was central to our design philosophy,” Karagulla says. “It was important to limit our emissions while ensuring that every detail enhanced both performance and environmental consciousness.”
For Karagulla, Kasper 7 represents more than just a yacht—it is a deeply personal journey. She shares how her passion for boating began during childhood summers spent exploring coastal waters with her family. This lifelong love affair with the sea culminated in her decision to create a vessel that embodies her vision for modern yachting. “Kasper 7 is where I find peace and inspiration,” she says with pride. “It’s not just about travelling; it’s about experiencing every moment on board in unparalleled comfort.”
