Patek Philippe Unveils A New Limited-Edition Watch And A Unique Table Clock
Every year, around the time of the Watches & Wonders trade show, Patek Philippe hosts its Rare Handcrafts exhibition at its flagship salon in Geneva. This year, 78 pieces were exhibited, including 23 of the maison’s signature dome table clocks, a desk clock, 10 pocket watches, and 44 wristwatches. Two of these pieces are shown here—the 5378/50J-011 ‘Yellow Crested Cockatoo’ Golden Ellipse wristwatch, and the 20191M-001-001 ‘Skiing in Days Gone By’ dome table clock. The former was inspired by an Edo-period Japanese painting, while the latter evokes retro graphic design of a very Swiss pastime. Both make use of the grand feu cloisonné enamel technique—yet another example of Patek Philippe’s mastery of traditional metiers d’art.
Here’s Your Chance To Own A Fully-Driveable Official Batmobile
If you’re a billionaire philanthropist secretly dreaming of becoming a superhero (especially Batman), this might be the closest you’ll ever get. For the 20th anniversary of the Batman Begins film, Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products and Relevance International have joined hands to launch an officially sanctioned replica of the Tumbler. The piece of cinematic history has now been brought to life to scale in the form of a fully functional (albeit not street-legal) vehicle, priced at a cool US$2.99 million. Built by Action Vehicle Engineering, each vehicle will feature interiors custom-built for each owner as well as a proof of authenticity from Warner Bros. Discovery. Under the hood is a Powertrain 6.2L engine with 486ft lbs of torque, accompanied by a smoke screen delivery system and a jet engine simulation—without the onscreen flames, we have to add. The Batmobile, as it is known, will be sold by invitation to only 10 lucky owners.
The 62 Gun Salute Collection Is The Crowning Jewel Of Royal Salute’s Whiskies
The Royal Salute was created in 1953 as an homage to Queen Elizabeth II’s coronation and the 21-gun salute that honoured her, eventually rising to become a prestigious whisky brand with a legacy steeped in royal tradition. Now, the Speyside house has crafted the ultimate expression of tribute, the 62 Gun Salute collection, in honour of the 62-gun salute ceremony reserved for the most momentous British royal occasions. Royal Salute’s Master Blender Sandy Hyslop meticulously hand-selected the finest long-matured malt and grain whiskies to create a beautifully complex and rounded flavour profile for the collection. This includes the Royal Salute 62 Gun Salute Original Reserve, The American Oak Reserve, and The Peated Reserve, each a winner at the International Spirits Challenge 2024. Perfect as the jewel in the crown of discerning whisky enthusiasts, each exquisite decanter is finished in hues reminiscent of precious stones and housed in piano-lacquered boxes with intricate sculptural designs within.
The Royal Salute 62 Gun Salute Original Reserve and The American Oak Reserve is available at the official Pernod Ricard Malaysia Shopee Store at RM16,099 and RM17,888 respectively. The Peated Reserve is available as a global travel retail exclusive in duty-free airports at RM14,333.

Catch The Hermès Kite Festival At Sentul Pavilion, Kuala Lumpur On 17 And 18 May
Far from fleeting fashion, Hermès silk scarves are timeless heirlooms—crafted to be cherished across generations. Introduced in 1937, each scarf begins as an original artwork, elaborately imagined by skilled artisans who draw inspiration from mythology, nature, history, and equestrian themes—often taking years to complete. A nod to the house’s silk signatures, the Hermès Kite Festival is a sky-high celebration where the French luxury maison brings its artistry through life through the art of kite flying. Following its debut in Indonesia in 2022, the festival has since taken flight in cities like Dubai, Busan, and Buenos Aires. This year, these iconic designs have been refashioned in technical fabrics to soar above Sentul Pavilion in Kuala Lumpur on 17 and 18 May. Visitors can participate in a variety of activities—from kite-making workshops and flying lessons to friendly contests and aerial choreographies.
Admission is free. The festival welcomes guests from 10am to 8pm. The official registration site is now open.

The Kuala Lumpur Standard Chartered Marathon Set To Return With Exciting Changes
On 4 and 5 October, one of the largest marathons in Southeast Asia, the Kuala Lumpur Standard Chartered Marathon (KLSCM) is set to return for its 17th edition. Standard Chartered Malaysia has renewed its title sponsorship for four more years as the company celebrates its 150th anniversary. KLSCM 2025 will be moving its start and finish points from its regular venue of Dataran Merdeka (due to maintenance works) and will instead start within in the Kuala Lumpur city centre and finish at Stadium Merdeka. This year’s event also sees the introduction of the Run Club Challenge for running clubs in Malaysia and State Youth Challenge for young local runners aged 15 to 24 years old. At the heart of the event lies the RFAR charity which works with the running community in a collective effort to raise funds for deserving charities, raising close to RM9 million funds to date. Public registration is now open until 31 July or when race slots sell out. Eligible Standard Chartered Priority Banking clients will also enjoy a complimentary running slot when they deposit and invest with the Bank and stand a chance to win a trip to French Riviera.
