An illustrious group of Robb Report Malaysia readers were recently invited to the lavish early 20th-century manor, Macalister Mansion in Penang, across two days for a glamourous programme of automotive excellence, opulent skincare rituals, and more. Motoring connoisseurs were given the exclusive opportunity to test drive luxury British automobiles from the official Aston Martin dealership in Kuala Lumpur, which included the new DB12 Super GT, the Vantage, and the DBX707.

The DB12, which blends high-performance sports car dynamics with luxurious long-distance cruising, positions itself as the world’s first Super Tourer and comes with a 680 PS twin-turbo V8 engine, a 34 per cent boost over its predecessor. Next was the brand’s emblematic model, the Vantage, which has been enhanced with a 665 hp twin-turbo V8 engine and can now go from zero to 100 km/h in just 3.4 seconds. Rounding up the powerful trio was the DBX707, which proudly bears the title of the world’s most powerful luxury SUV, delivering supercar performance with its 707 PS twin-turbo V8 engine.
“The test drive was very impressive: the car, the handling, and the various modes,” said Amran Ahmed, managing director of Ambong Rainforest Retreat. “As I put the Vantage into track mode, I felt the acceleration, which was like nothing I’ve experienced before.”

Concurrently with the test drives, a group of 20 distinguished ladies sat down for a Discovery Masterclass by La Prairie, the prestigious Swiss skincare brand. They were guided by beauty consultants through a step-by-step application of the Skin Caviar collection as well as the La Prairie White Caviar Light Concentrate, which harnesses the regenerative power of caviar to deliver unparalleled lifting and firming effects. They were also given a special look at a new product, the La Prairie Skin Caviar Hydro Emulsion. Clinical studies showed a 70 per cent increase in hydration and significant improvements in wrinkle count, depth, and volume—all in just eight weeks.
“The La Prairie workshop was great because it enabled us to learn about and try some of the brand’s star products in a personalised manner,” said Aja Ng, managing partner of The Right Seed.

After the driving was over, guests found respite from the heat with bottles of natural spring water from the French Alps from Evian and canapés such as Tiramisu Gâteau and Atlantic Cod Croquettes with Caviar by Macalister Mansion. They also perused the scintillating timepieces on display by Sincere Fine Watches & Sincere Haute Horlogerie, which included the Jacob & Co. Epic CR7 and the H. Moser & Cie. Streamliner. The day concluded with guests enjoying drams of whisky’s best-kept secret—the Mortlach 12-, 16-, and 20-year-old expressions at The Cellar. They were also treated to a masterclass that showcased the distinct character and rich heritage of the prestigious Scotch distillery.
