He was a member of the Japanese Olympic wrestling team, a professional offshore powerboat racer, one of the first few people to cross the Pacific Ocean in a hot-air balloon, and the name behind two of the biggest pop-culture figures—DJ Steve Aoki and model-actress Devon Aoki.
