Anantara Palais Hansen Vienna Hotel Debuts In Austria In A Heritage-Listed Palace

The Anantara Palais Hansen Vienna Hotel has made its official debut in Austria, emerging with a lustrous new look and era for the storied landmark, which carries more than 150 years of history. Originally conceptualised for the 1873 World’s Fair by acclaimed architect Baron Theophil Edvard Von Hansen, the building is exemplary of Viennese Neo-Renaissance architecture. His signature mark is found in its stucco ceilings, towering columns, and heritage-listed staircases, embellished with touches of modern luxury such as spacious marble bathrooms and Acqua di Parma amenities. The hotel boasts sweeping views of the tree-spotted Ringstrasse, the city’s historic business district, from its most exclusive suites. These offer contemporary comfort accompanied by luxurious, Asian-inspired hospitality. The Presidential Suite is Vienna’s largest, boasting seven French balconies, a grand piano, a dining area, and a private wellness space. Its facilities include three gastronomically spectacular establishments, including the one Michelin-starred Edvard, the 800 sqm Anantara Spa, and the biggest ballroom the city has to offer, which is bathed in natural light.

The Worldwide Best-Selling Maison Francis Kurkdjian Baccarat Rouge 540

The Baccarat Rogue 540 is a deliciously unique fragrance that emerged from a limited-edition 2014 collaboration between Maison Francis Kurkdjian and Baccarat, crafted in commemoration of Baccarat’s 250th anniversary. The iconic perfume remains a consistent signature of the Maison’s fragrance repertoire more than a decade on. Its Rouge à l’or (red made of gold) bottle is forged of clear crystal turned crimson, achieved through a gradual fusion with 24-karat gold powder while heated at 540 degrees Celsius. Channelling inspiration from the irresistible mystique of the scarlet red gem, its notes revolve around three natural auras—mineral, fire, and air. These interact in a smooth, floral-amber-woody dance that’s redolent of the glittering stone’s metamorphosis.

The perfume is offered in eau de parfum, extrait de parfum, and a wide range of scented rituals, available online or at the Maison Francis Kurkdjian outlets in Pavilion and Suria KLCC.

Enjoy New Flavours At Celadon Restaurant In The Sukhothai Bangkok

At Celadon, the tranquil Thai restaurant within The Sukhothai Bangkok, head chef Chapornpat ‘Jib’ Dapachutisan is reinterpreting the food of her native Southern Thailand. A graduate of Le Cordon Bleu, she applies classical French techniques to a Thai menu focused on seasonal ingredients and sustainable sourcing. Her approach is evident in the specifics. A rare Kaeng Ra-Waeng curry, with origins in the reign of King Rama V, is made with beef cheek braised for more than 12 hours. Pandanus dumplings, tinted green with leaves from the restaurant’s garden, are filled with native mushrooms and topped with steamed Andaman blue crab. Elsewhere, a duck leg prepared using the French confit method is served in a potent Southern Thai red curry. Each dish is presented on the restaurant’s eponymous, green-glazed stoneware, connecting a specific Thai tradition to the present moment.
