Belmond Grand Hotel Europe in Russia is partnering with renowned Champagne house Dom Pérignon. The Caviar Bar & Restaurant will offer the ultimate caviar pairing experience with gastronomic matches based on the undertones of the vintages and flavour characteristics of caviar in collaboration with Alexey Mitrofanov, Dom Pérignon’s Ambassador to Russia, and Alexander Dmitriev, the restaurant’s Maître D’ and the city’s only vodka sommelier.
At St. Petersburg’s only dedicated caviar restaurant, guests may choose from a list of 12 exclusive Dom Pérignon labels and be guided through the process by the sommelier who will advise on the best caviar and Champagne match based on the taste preferences of each individual. Highlights include the prized Dom Pérignon P2 vintage 1998, the very best of the producer’s collection. The complementing assortment of caviar available spans 15 varieties with the signature dish ‘Egg in Egg’, featuring hen egg blended with sturgeon’s roe to create a truffle-flavoured scrambled egg topped with black or red caviar, priced at €49 (RM214) for three egg shells. The Dom Pérignon Vintage 2006 is priced at €49 per glass and €325 (RM1,418) per bottle.
