Leica unveils its annual titanium super edition, the Leica M-P Titanium

Every year, German cameramaker Leica releases a titanium version of one of its cameras, as a special treat for its fans. As if its cameras themselves weren’t already special enough. This year is the turn of the Leica M-P, an upgraded version of the Leica M.

The Leica M-P Titanium comes with the same hardware as the M – a 24 megapixel full-frame CMOS sensor, 2GB of buffer memory and a sapphire crystal LCD cover – but will weigh 85 grams less than the standard model with its solid titanium construction. Premium leather grips and trims give the M-P Titanium a cool dual-tone colour scheme, and the camera will be sold together with titanium editions of two of Leica’s most popular lenses, the Summicron-M 28mm and the APO-Summicron-M 50mm.  Only 333 examples of the Leica M-P Titanium sets will be produced, with a price tag of £17,500 (RM90,000)
