Mandarin Oriental Kuala Lumpur welcomes the year of the Fire Rooster with its signature yee sang and delectable festive menus at Lai Po Heen. Embark on a delightful Oriental culinary journey prepared by Chef Ricky Thein and team from now until 28 February 2016.
Join in the ritual of tossing yee sang for prosperity, good fortune, and health and enjoy either any of the five yee sang – Australian lobster in kumquat dressing; Octopus and assorted vegetables; Soft shell crab and snow pear; salmon and assorted vegetables; and Assorted vegetables with shredded fruits in sesame dressing available during lunch and dinner from RM88 nett to RM 368 nett for half portion and full portion respectively.
Lai Po Heen also offers three exclusive set menus for the festive season namely Fortune, Prosperity and Wealth, priced at RM 288, RM 388 and RM 488 nett per person respectively. The Fortune and Prosperity menus require a minimum of four diners. Each dish in the Wealth menu is individually plated and requires a minimum of two diners.
Dim Sum aficionados will be pleased to learn that Chef Ricky and his dim sum masters have specially crafted two menus for the season – Longevity and Happiness. Available for lunch only, both menus are priced at RM 168 and RM 228 nett per person respectively, with a minimum of four diners.
Guests will also be able to indulge in an exquisite Afternoon Tea at Lounge on the Park inspired by the season. Nibble from a 3-tier platter with classic scones, as well as traditional Chinese delicacies. The Mandarin Cake Shop will also have assorted Chinese New year gifts, cookies and hampers (including adorable chocolate koi) until 12 February 2017.
