fabulous fete
Guests of Robb Report Malaysia and clients of RHB Premier were recently feted at Babe, the creative nexus where chef Jeff Ramsey concocts his Japanese-inspired dishes. Ramsey, whose stint at the Mandarin Oriental in Tokyo saw his restaurant being awarded a Michelin star, thrilled the guests’ senses with a seven-course menu that highlighted the freshness of this season’s ingredients of uni and Japanese fruit tomato.
Amid the beautiful blooms by Armani/Fiori and backgrounded by the serene Kuala Lumpur nightscape, guests sat down to dinner, prefaced by a welcome speech by the Group’s Retail Banking Affluent Segment head Calvin Goon. Between toothsome bites of abalone and char-grilled Wagyu, guests also received crucial insights into the Asia-Pacific markets by Yap Chee Ken, director of CIMB Principal Asset Management. The night ended on a delicious note of peaches and banana with a serving of 1994 vintage Shirakuten Kunibanzai sake.
