Time and Tide
The weather at this year’s Les Voiles de St-Barth wasn’t the most ideal for yacht racing, as wind conditions were either weak or unstable, but all 1,100 seafarers gamely embraced the challenge nonetheless. Representing Team Richard Mille was the company’s CEO for EMEA, Peter Harrison, who competed with a Transpac 52 named Sorcha. Victory was especially sweet as the team finished first in the CSA 0 Class after placing third in 2015 and second in 2016.
In between regattas, Richard Mille opened its first boutique in the Caribbean. It was suitably stocked with such seaworthy models as the Richard Mille RM 60-01 Flyback Chronograph Regatta. Designed with a rotating bezel bearing the four cardinal points and a 360-degree graduated disc with a 24-hour scale, the timepiece was presented to Team Proteus from the US, which was the overall winner of the Maxi Yacht class.
