Half of the taste is in the scent, and with that in mind, Hotel Cafe Royal London has collaborated with French perfumer Diptyque to elevate its classic afternoon tea.
Four sweet treats have been added to the hotel’s classic afternoon tea selection, each corresponding to the brand’s rose, vanilla, violette and verveine scents.
With names such as Rose Victoria, Tahitian Vanilla bar, Violet and Cassis Tart and Lemon Verbena, one can expect desserts that delicately perfume taste buds.
Each guest will also receive a 70g Baies candle, Diptyque’s most popular scent to date. It teases with a light scent of Bulgarian roses, before giving way to a base of blackcurrant leaves.
