Putting on the glitz
The first dazzling piece you’ll notice when you walk into Tiffany & Co.’s newly established boutique is undoubtedly the crystal chandelier in its grand entrance – a magnificent light fixture fabricated by London-based installation artist Studio Roso. It’s the first of many sparkling creations that will catch your eye around the luxurious duplex store in Pavilion Kuala Lumpur, which houses the fine jewellery salon, the bridal salon, the fashion salon and a private sales salon.
Each of the sections, which showcase an assortment of diamonds and colourful gemstones including Tiffany’s celebrated diamond engagement rings, feature details which allude to the brand’s New York heritage. In the fine jewellery salon, for instance, a dark green marble band in the stone flooring harks back to their Fifth Avenue flagship. Similarly, a wall of hand-painted and gilded Tiffany Magnolia glass panels take their inspiration from Louis Comfort Tiffany’s original stained glass windows at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.
