Bell & Ross continues its foray into the technically demanding world of transparent sapphire cases with three unique editions of its square-shaped BR series timepieces. The BR-X1 Skeleton Tourbillon also has a fully skeletonised dial, giving the wearer an unfettered view of the hand-wound movement within — flying tourbillon included.
This trio is made special with a chromatic twist to it; Bell & Ross has taken advantage of the visibility to utilise coloured components for the movement. There is one in black, which is a nod to the aircraft instruments that inspired the signature line. One is in blue, which recalls the traditional blued hands on vintage watches. The final one is the most precious of all, made with solid pink gold.
To reaffirm the place of haute horlogerie in the 21st century, the black and blue editions are available exclusively through online storefronts. They are priced at €400,000 (RM1.9 million) while the pink gold is €420,000 (RM2.0 million).
