In the eclectic collection of Louis Vuitton’s Objets Nomades, we have seen hammocks, lamps and sofas expressed through the creativity of global design names such as Patricia Urquiola, Marcel Wandes, Andre Fu and Tokujin Yoshioka. Its latest flourish is the Swell Wave shelf (RM159,000) by designer Andrew Kudless who debuted this piece at the most recent Design Miami. True to the philosophy of Objets Nomades, rooted in Louis Vuitton’s travel DNA, this construct of undulating oak shelves held by rich leather straps is a commentary of rocks eroded by time – an ode to the delicate balance of powerful forces of time and nature.
