In one of the prettiest hotel lounges in the city, the Christmas season comes alive with The St. Regis Kuala Lumpur’s Drawing Room with the ‘Whimsical Christmas Boutique’. With its grand 12-foot-tall carousel, gifting trunks, fine chocolates and other merry treats, just being there will already infuse you and your guests with that holly jolly spirit. From festive roasts at The Brasserie to decorating a gingerbread house by the pool at Crystal, there’s plenty for you, loved ones and families to enjoy. And back at The Drawing Room, with its signature Botero horse, you can also enjoy an afternoon tea with scones, clotted cream, homemade jam and free-flowing savoury canapes (RM168 nett per person, RM298 nett per person with a glass of Delamotte Champagne). A takeaway set (RM178 nett) will thrill your near and far, because ‘tis the season – as is all seasons – where giving is better than receiving.

At this vibrant city hotel, with its chic Sky51 rooftop bar, the Yuletide spirit is presented through festive offers and packages at all of its F&B outlets. Choose a bubbly afternoon tea (RM198+ for two) at the Bottega lounge with elements of dolce vita including that optional glass of Bottega Prosecco. At Etoile, a grilled platter (RM288+) will surely provide plenty of festive cheer with a half chicken, rack of lamb, beef tenderloin, beef bacon, chicken sausage, eggs and vegetables for a very merry party, aided by many delicious craft beers on selection. At EQs’ fine-dining establishment Sabayon, a five-course Christmas dinner (RM888+ per person with window seating and a bottle of champagne per couple) kicks off with cheese raclette, foie gras, Maine lobster bisque and mains of either veal, duck a l’orange or salmon with caviar, and crepes suzette for a flamboyant finish as you enjoy a glorious view of the city lights.
Sheraton Petaling Jaya
At the Sheraton Petaling Jaya‘s Miyabi Japanese restaurant, Chef Tetsuya Yanagida proposes a ‘festive omakase’, happening from Christmas Eve right up till New Year’s Eve. Available for lunch and dinner (RM1,200 nett for two persons), the meal begins with sangria or Roku gin cocktails, segueing into a selected sashimi platter, red prawn with ikura and truffle oil and foie gras with sea salt. Following an interlude of Kaki Ichigo, choose from a choice of mains; a teppanyaki lobster with balsamic vinegar or Miyabi’s stone-grilled Kuroge Japanese Wagyu and complete the journey on a deliciously sweet Japanese melon note.
Four Seasons Hotel Kuala Lumpur
All this month, the much-beloved Afternoon Tea at the Four Season’s Tea Lounge gets a cuddly makeover with the Teddy Bear Christmas Afternoon Tea (RM208 per person). Enjoy delectable delights and purchase a Hamleys teddy bear to benefit charity. Then, if you’re in the mood for Christmas classics, Curate provides two equally enticing options. Christmas dinner sees favourites such as Panettone, Minced Meat Pie and Yule Logs, as well as mulled wine and hot cocoa (RM288 per adult on 24 December; RM238 on 25 December). Christmas brunch, meanwhile, is a lavish spread featuring Christmas Pudding and Eggnog Cheesecake, accompanied by traditional carols and Santa Claus appearances (RM238 per adult on 25 December only).
To really spice things up, head to Yun House, where Chef Jimmy Wong is serving the best of Cantonese cuisine for the festive season, such as Pan-Seared Rib Eye and Fragrant Fried Rice with Abalone and Asparagus. Available all month for RM458 per person.
Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur
Whether you prefer local flavours set amidst a cozy, green setting, or international cuisine with stunning views of the city, Grand Hyatt has you covered this Christmas. JP Teres is offering a buffet of local fusion dishes on both Christmas eve and Christmas day, with unlimited non-alcoholic drinks, for RM258 per adult. Over at THIRTY8, an international dinner buffet will be served on Christmas eve (RM498 per adult), with a lunch version on Christmas day (RM498 per adult). Both include unlimited non-alcoholic drinks and, of course, panoramic vistas of KL from the heart of the city.
Mandarin Oriental, Kuala Lumpur
This year, Mandarin Oriental is offering a wide range of options for your Christmas celebrations. Start with The Grand Christmas Day Brunch, available at the Mandarin Grill, Mosaic and Lounge on the Park for RM488 per person. For dinner, go for a buffet at Mosaic or Lounge on the Park at RM298 per person; or an exclusive four-course Chopard set menu at Mandarin Grill for RM668 per person. Alternatively, Mandarin Grill is also offering a 6-course set menu at RM558 per person. For both dinner options, a wine pairing is available for RM198 per person. When you’re at the Mandarin Oriental, be sure to take a selfie with the 4-metre high, 10-metre wide gingerbread house, made using 200kg of gingerbread and 145kg of Royal Icing. Executive Chef Gerald Genson, Pastry Artist, Leong Kar Kit, and the MO team spent the past three months constructing it, in the hopes of spreading holiday cheer and joy.

Shangri-La Kuala Lumpur
Shangri-La’s Lemon Garden will be showcasing the best of Christmas cuisine via their popular buffet, including lamb cutlets, roasted prime ribs, lobster thermidor and more. Available for both lunch and dinner on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Boxing day, prices start at RM208 for lunch and RM268 for dinner. But for those who prefer more of a sit-down meal, head to Arthur’s Bar & Grill. Traditional favourites such as Christmas XL Chicken with Chestnut and Apple Stuffing, Australian Black Angus Prime Ribs, Oven Roasted Spanish Lamb Shoulder and Norwegian Salmon En Croute are all on the menu, for RM258 per person (available for Christmas eve dinner, Christmas day lunch and dinner).
Nobu Kuala Lumpur
From 23 December until 1 January, Nobu Kuala Lumpur Head Chef Philip Leong and his team are serving a very special Festive Omakase. Highlights of the menu include Chargrilled A5 Wagyu Sirloin, Baked King Krab with Egg White, and Hamachi Tartare. In addition, guests who spend a minimum of RM500 at Nobu KL from now until 18 December are eligible for a Charity Lucky Draw to win prizes from La Jung Clinic and Gentlemen’s Tonic. Proceeds will be donated to the Make-A-Wish foundation. The Festive Omakase is available for dinner for RM750 per person.

Take your Christmas celebrations to the next level at The Majestic Hotel Kuala Lumpur. In the stately Colonial Cafe, a traditional Christmas Eve dinner (RM280 per person) and a Christmas Day lunch (RM200 per person) are on offer. Expect the finest renditions of Roast Turkey, Homemade Yule Log, and more. Over at Contango, savour all the Christmas classics in a relaxed yet festive atmosphere. The buffet lunch is available at RM150 per person, while the buffet dinner goes for RM200 per person, both from 24 to 26 December. Immerse yourself in the elegant Christmas ambience on offer at The Ritz-Carlton, Kuala Lumpur. The Cobalt Room, an understated yet refined space to sit back, relax and enjoy some great food, is offering a special Sparkling Christmas Brunch, from RM210 per adult. For an even more exclusive dining experience, book a table at The Library, where four-course dinner menus will be served on both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day (RM450 per person; top up RM200 for Royal Salute 21-year-old flight pairing). Meanwhile, the ever popular Li Yen has a new centrepiece for its classic Chinese dishes: riverine fishes. Executive Chinese Chef Alex Au have crafted a menu using sustainably farmed river fishes from a fishery in Sungai Manong, Perak. Highlights include the Empurau fish, sometimes known as the ‘Forget Me Not’ fish or the ‘King of the River’.

Gather your loved ones and spread the joy with the wide variety of dining options available at The Starhill this festive season. Available at The Alchemy until 2 January, The New Yorker Festive Afternoon Tea at The Alchemy has been re-imagined with the spirit of Christmas and features unmissable treats such as Snow Lemon Cookies, Gingerbread Macarons, Berries Petite Gâteau, Christmas Fruit Cake, Cranberry Cheesecake, and more (available for two at RM180). Meanwhile, Shook! is offering a Starry Christmas Eve dinner that’s full of festive favourites, all specially curated and presented in a diverse spread (RM180 per adult). Finally, Luk Yu Tea House serves up its home-style Cantonese specialities and Hong Kong dim sum – a fine way to enjoy Asian delights, or if you’re just craving for some siew mai or har kao.
W Kuala Lumpur
For a little bit (or perhaps a lot of) razzle dazzle this Christmas, look no further than W Kuala Lumpur. Flock will be serving a Holly Jolly Dinner buffet on Christmas Eve for RM438 per person, while a Jingle Feast can be your Christmas day buffet lunch for RM488 per person. The festivities don’t stop there, as a Christmas day buffet dinner at Flock could be yours for only RM288 per person, or a Boxing Day buffet brunch also at only RM288 per person. And if you’d like to cleanse your palate with something a bit more local (with a trademark W twist), YEN is offering Dimsum brunch all month for RM168 per person. A six-course meal with wine pairing is also available at YEN, from 20 to 25 December, for RM228 per person (minimum two guests).
The RuMa Hotel and Residences
Located a stone’s throw away from KLCC, The RuMa’s ATAS restaurant features a specially curated six-course dinner on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Executive Chef Mandy Goh and her team are infusing their signature twists, local provenance and heirloom ingredients into Christmas classics such as Dried Aged Turkey, Homage Guy Savoy, Wagyu Beef with Morel mushrooms, and French sea bass with Madagascar Vanilla.
