His-and-hers Montblanc Villeret timepieces
This package is no longer available
To witness some of the finest work modern horology has to offer, one will have to make one’s way down to Villeret. Here in this quiet Swiss town is the eponymous workshop run by Montblanc where the brand’s most spectacular masterpieces are born.
As one of the two watchmaking workshops Montblanc has, Villeret may be the smaller in physical scale, but is definitely the bigger in ambition. Less than 300 timepieces are made in its premises each year, all using age-old techniques and done fully by hand without the aid of machines. Worthy of note are masterpieces like the Montblanc Collection Villeret Cylindrique Pocket Watch 110 Years Edition, which shows the course of day and night around the world with two discs displaying 24 time zones revolving around two miniature globes, and the Timewriter 1: Metamorphosis, with the time and date displays on two sub dials that split down the middle to reveal chronograph functions beneath.
Anything’s possible at the Villeret workshop and this festive season, Montblanc is inviting one reader to experience it with a loved one. Have a pair of matching bespoke couple’s watches made and collect it personally at Villeret. The trip comes complete with a tour of the workshop, flights, and accommodation.Read More
