What is the secret to waking up bright-eyed? Guests at the Bangkok and Chiang Mai properties of 137 Pillars Hotels & Resorts will now find out that it is deeper, not longer, sleep that really counts.
The hotel brand debuts a new pre-bed treatment, dubbed Sleep by Design Therapy. It aims to help guests attain deep restorative sleep through a combination of holistic elements, and even technology.
An elaborate 90-minute therapy, conducted in-room or at the spa house, meticulously thought out for all your five senses.
For your nose, in-house formulated aromas percolate the room. For your ears and eyes, Glyph headsets (wearable cinema) or binaural beats headphones puts you in the right frequency. For the skin, the temperate is set to a science (you even get electric blankets during coolers months in Chiang Mai), and a combination of massage techniques are applied. Lastly, savour a relaxing tea blend of lavender and chamomile.
The session also sees therapists using Reiki treatment, magnesium oils, homemade bath salts, and a ‘seven-point chakra oil drop’.
A Sleepdown Service is also available for suite guests at both hotels, complete with a Sleep Butler and Sleep Curator. Your tub will be prepared with calming bergamot bath salts whilst an array of amenities is laid out before you. These include foot and nasal sprays, eye masks, ambient controls, body oils along with instructions on their use from the butler, and even a presentation of a short bedtime story book.
