Celebrate a year well-lived with a festive blowout at Resorts World Genting this year end, or choose to herald in the New Year in cool style at Malaysia’s preeminent mountain resort. Beginning December 1, Christmas fever will sweep Resorts World Genting.
LTITUDE Restaurant at Genting Grand will offer a semi-buffet dinner on December 24, 25, 31 and January 1. Priced at RM128 nett, guests can look forward to salted lotus chips, Kabuto shioyaki, truffle croquettes, while the salad bar will offer shrimp cocktail and giant focaccia sandwiches. There will also be stir-fried udon with homemade soy sauce and seafood, and a Josper oven slow-cooked turkey with cranberry sauce, sweet corn, smoked sausages, chestnuts and pumpkin. Guests will have a choice of main courses: a 120-day grain fed Angus strip loin medallion and gratin Dauphinois, or Iberico spare ribs with grilled baby gem and cauliflower textures, or air-flown seafood with salmon confit and Hollandaise sauce, or risotto ala chestnut with wild mushroom, coffee power and saffron Parmesan foam. The main courses will change for New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day to a Josper grilled lamb rack with gratin Dauphinois and mint foam, or crispy Iberico pork belly with red wine-braised sauerkraut and mustard ice cream, or cured cod fish and matelote sauce, or seafood paella with prawn broth, chorizo and seafood.
The Olive at Genting Grand will be offering fine dining sets on both Christmas and New Year. The Christmas Eve and Christmas Day dinners are priced at RM288 nett per person and RM388 per person with wine pairing. The menu begins with an appetizer of Dungeness crab with heirloom tomatoes, avocado mousse and deviled quail egg. For the main course, guests may choose from a duo of turkey with abalone, fresh cranberries, braised root vegetables, confit mushroom and jus, or a roast medallion rib eye with confit cabbage and shitake mushroom. Dessert is suitably Christmassy, with a ginger spice chocolate Yule log forest and forest berries compote. The New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day dinner menu offers scallops with crushed avocado citrus salad, consommé of duck with duck confit tortellini and a main course of either beef cheek with marble potatoes, aubergine, fennel pesto and roasted carrots, or orange roughy with Alsace butter, ginger, fennel and spring onions. The sweet ending to the meal will be a chocolate glaze, peanut mousse cake and gingerbread ice cream.
A selection of other Christmas and New Year treats will also be scattered across Resorts World Genting, including the Coffee Terrace at Genting Grand, Bakery at Genting Grand, Cloud 9 at Genting Grand, Flavors at Awana Genting and Rajawali Coffee House at Awana Genting.
