PERSPECTIVES 2027: What Will Drive The Next Decade of Luxury Growth?
Where will the next decade of luxury growth come from? On 12 November at JW Marriott Hotel & Suites Saigon, Perspectives 2027 brings together influential voices from across luxury, technology, design, real estate, hospitality and wellness to explore the forces reshaping the industry.
REWRITING THE LUXURY EQUATION
For more than a century, luxury has been defined by scarcity: the rare timepiece, the coveted bag, the object accessible to only a select few. Today, that equation is being rewritten.
In a world being reshaped by demographic change, technology and a profound reassessment of what it means to live well, the very notion of scarcity is shifting. Will the things we value most in the future still be things we can own?
Perspectives 2027 begins with that question. As the traditional measures of luxury evolve, what will create value—and drive growth—over the next decade?
WHY VIETNAM, AND WHY NOW?
Perspectives 2027 is presented by Robb Report Vietnam, alongside Robb Report Singapore, Robb Report Malaysia, Robb Report Philippines and Beyond the Boardroom Singapore. The full-day forum at JW Marriott Hotel & Suites Saigon will unfold through a series of keynotes, panel discussions and case-study sessions.
The choice of Ho Chi Minh City is deliberate.
Vietnam is emerging as one of Asia’s most dynamic luxury markets, with a new generation of consumers taking shape alongside rising wealth, entrepreneurial ambition and changing expectations of how success is expressed.
This puts Vietnam in an intriguing position: not simply as a market luxury brands are seeking to reach, but as a place where new ideas about consumption, experience and status are beginning to take shape. Rather than asking only how Vietnam might catch up with more mature luxury markets, Perspectives 2027 poses a more compelling possibility: could Vietnam develop a luxury language of its own?
THE QUESTIONS LUXURY CAN NO LONGER AVOID
Nine sessions form a continuous narrative, beginning with perhaps the industry’s most pressing question: where will the next wave of luxury growth come from?
From the global picture, Perspectives 2027 turns its attention to Vietnam, where a new generation of consumers is redefining the relationship between wealth, status and influence.
The conversation then moves to a force with the potential to transform how luxury itself operates: artificial intelligence. AI can already generate products, images and increasingly convincing worlds—but can it create desire? As machine creativity moves closer to human capability, what remains impossible to replicate?
From what people desire, the conversation moves to a larger question: how do we actually want to live?
As lifespans increase, the focus is shifting towards healthspan—the years of life spent in good health and with a high quality of life. This raises new questions for preventive healthcare, wellness, real estate and hospitality. Could this become one of luxury’s most significant growth frontiers in Asia over the coming decade?
Perspectives 2027 does not seek to end a day of discussion with definitive predictions. Instead, it leaves every leader with a more difficult question to take back to the boardroom: which assumptions about luxury are shaping your business today—and how many of them will still hold true ten years from now?
Full details of all nine sessions are available on the official Perspectives 2027 website.
