Everything You Need to Know About This Year’s ‘Oscars of Fine Wine’

The “Oscars of Fine Wine” is heading back to where it all began.

The Golden Vines, one of the premier events in the luxury wine world, will be taking place in London this year, marking the prestigious celebration’s return to its inaugural city. This time around, figures from across the globe will gather from November 6 to 8 to toast to the industry’s best producers, rising stars, and more influential figures of the past 12 months.

Throughout the three-day event, you can expect exclusive master classes, winemaker lunches and more private experiences side by side with top producers—alongside direct access to taste and acquire some of the world’s rarest wines. The line-up includes estates such as Krug, Screaming Eagle, Penfolds Grange, Dom Pérignon, Château Lafite Rothschild, and much more. You’ll also get to explore some of London’s historic venues throughout the weekend.

New on the docket is the first Frédéric Panaïotis La Paulée, a fête inspired by the traditional Burgundian harvest feast. Hosted at the Old Bailey, the event will bring you and your fellow attendees, as well as famed names in the wine industry, around one table to share a bottle (or, quite a few) for an intimate experience.

And all the fun culminates with the Golden Vines Awards Gala. There, you’ll be served dishes from acclaimed chef Simon Rogan, the toque behind Michelin three-star L’Enclume, as you watch top names in the wine industry receive awards for their achievements. Voted on by thousands of people across the wine world, the accolades include World’s Best Fine Wine Producer, World’s Best Rising Star, and World’s Best Rare Spirits Brand.

Those attending the gala will also have the chance to bid on private vineyard visits, rare bottles, and exclusive tastings via the Golden Vines Charity Auction. The proceeds of the sales will go to the Gérard Basset Foundation, an organisation that funds careers, education, and more across the wine, spirits, and hospitality sectors.

“We are thrilled to bring The Golden Vines back to London, the city where it all began,” Lewis Chester, co-founder and CEO of Liquid Icons, the organiser of the extravaganza, said. “Over the past six years, it has evolved into one of the most influential gatherings in fine wine, bringing together leading figures from across the globe. This year’s program is our most ambitious yet, celebrating excellence while championing the values of community, education, and philanthropy that continue to define The Golden Vines.”

At last year’s festivities in Miami (the first time the event came stateside), Harlan Estate snagged the award for Best Fine Wine Producer in the Americas, while Henschke won Best Fine Wine Producer in the Rest of the World. As for who will take home the top accolades from the 2026 iteration, we’ll just have to wait and see.
