In our weekly TWIL series, we bring you the latest in luxury news from around the world. This week’s highlights: Guerlain adds five new fragrances to its L’Art & La Matière fragrance line, Palace Hotel Tokyo presents a stay experience in partnership with Dior, and Sushi Hibiki brings five world-class chefs for Sushi Summit Vol. 9.

Guerlain Expands Its L’Art & La Matière Fragrance Line With The Les Eaux Fragrance Collection

The maison’s former Matières Confidentielles range has been reimagined as the Les Eaux fragrance collection, part of the L’Art & la Matière fragrance line. It comprises five expressions, including Eau de Cashmere, Eau de Lingerie, Eau de Coton, as well as two new scents: Eau de Popeline and Eau de Tulle. Each scent is distinguished by the softness of white musk and is an ode to textile materials that adorn the skin and how they mark different moments in our lives. Eau de Popeline combines notes of white musk, mimosa, and apricot, while the Eau de Tulle, the only eau de parfum in the line, comprises sugared almonds, orange blossom, and musk. The fragrances are bottled in iconic shades of their material in pastel tones, such as the beige hue of a cashmere wrap.

The collection is available now at all Guerlain boutiques at RM1,150 per bottle.

Kens Apothecary Launches Floraïku’s Flying South in Malaysia

The latest eau de parfum from the Parisienne perfumer unveils a new olfactory chapter inspired by the quiet migration towards the south of Japan. Evoking a landscape of warmth and light, the fragrance captures the feeling of endless summer, where time softens, and golden light lingers on the skin. The composition opens with the luminous freshness of makuwa melon, unfolds into a radiant hibiscus heart, and settles into a soft, musky trail that leaves a gentle, lasting impression.

Floraïku Flying South is now available online and at Kens Apothecary boutiques nationwide at RM1,509.

Zegna Debuts Its Summer 2026 Collection

The house’s Global Ambassador, Mads Mikkelsen, arrives in Piedmont, where the landscape and surrounding countryside shape the quiet beauty of the season. An ode to the quintessential Italian summer, the campaign is set along the shores of Lake Maggiore while the collection presents relaxed silhouettes and extraordinarily light fabrics that capture a sense of tranquillity. Part of this season’s offering is the latest Oasi Lino collection, standing as a pinnacle of Italian elegance and crafted exclusively from exceptional European-grown flax fibres that are certified 100 per cent traceable. Together with the ease of Mocassin, the brand’s iconic house loafer, Zegna’s collection is crafted in a considered blend of cashmere, linen, and cotton, embodying the carefree essence of the summer season. Designed to move seamlessly from warm days on the lake to evenings that unfold long into the night, the palette mirrors the natural beauty of the landscape in hues of pine green, rich taupe, and soft, luminous white.

Tod’s Celebrates Its Gommino Loafer With Four New Interpretations

At Salone del Mobile 2026, Tod’s presented a special project dedicated to the great masters of 20th-century Italian design, conceived as a celebration of Italian creative and artisanal excellence. At the heart of the initiative is the Gommino itself, a stalwart of the brand, reinterpreted through the aesthetic codes of works by four masters who have contributed to making Italian design a global benchmark: the enveloping and futuristic lines of the Elda armchair by Joe Colombo, the expressive and material freedom of the Crosby chair by Gaetano Pesce, the graphic and radical language of the Kristall table designed by Michele De Lucchi for Memphis Milano featuring the iconic Fantastic pattern, and the pure design approach of the Brionvega RR226 Radiofonografo by Achille & Pier Giacomo Castiglioni. These four design icons thus become a source of inspiration for four interpretations of the Gommino, conceived as true collectible objects, within a narrative that brings together creativity, style and Italian artisanal tradition.

The limited-edition collection will be available exclusively at the Tod’s boutique in Milan, Monte Napoleone, and worldwide at www.tods.com.
