Parmigiani Fleurier Launches The TONDA PF Sport Chronograph Silver Verzasca

The high-performance variant of the Tonda PF family, the Tonda PF Sport collection, has introduced a new expression: the Tonda PF Sport Chronograph Silver Verzasca. Its green hues were inspired by the crystalline waters of the river flowing between granite rocks in Switzerland’s Verzasca Valley. The timepiece features 100m of water resistance as well as an integrated rubber strap with a structural intermediate layer and an outer layer with a tear-resistant technical membrane at its centre. Sporting the same 42mm diameter and 12.9mm thickness as earlier models, this iteration’s cases are available in rose gold, steel, and high-tech Ultra-Cermet. Powered by the COSC-certified manufacture calibre PF070, its 5 Hz frequency ensures exceptionally precise measurement of short intervals.

The Jacob & Co. Billionaire Double Tourbillon Angel Debuts A Patented New Diamond Cut

For the house’s 40th anniversary, Jacob & Co. unveils an exceptional project that combines gem-setting innovation and lavish horology. The Angel Cut is a new, proprietary, and patented diamond cut that was developed entirely in-house, and is named after Angela, the wife of founder Jacob Arabo. It features 37 facets, one to mark every year of their marriage. The resulting geometry enhances the play of light through each stone without being overly complex, while retaining much more mass than traditional cuts, compared to traditional cuts that seek a similar effect.

Some 216 of these Angel Cut diamonds make their way onto the case, dial, and strap buckle of the Billionaire Double Tourbillon Angel, which is limited to 18 pieces. It boasts 297 white diamonds in total and weighs about 79 carats. The timepiece houses the manually wound JCAM50 movement, which has not one but two flying tourbillons—because Jacob & Co. has never been shy about its maximalist approach.

Omega’s Speedmaster X-33 Goes to Space with NASA’s Artemis II Crew

NASA’s Artemis II crew recently embarked on humanity’s first crewed lunar voyage in more than 50 years, and broke the record set by Apollo 13 for the farthest humans have travelled from Earth. For the historic moon mission, all four crew members—commander Reid Wiseman, pilot Victor Glover, mission specialist Christina Koch, and mission specialist Jeremy Hansen—wore Omega’s Speedmaster X-33. The watchmaker has been part of every crewed lunar journey since 1969, and the timepiece, which is cased in grade 2 titanium with a titanium bracelet, was issued from NASA’s inventory of qualified flight hardware. The timepiece boasts multiple time zones, mission elapsed time counters, alarms, and countdown functions, all live on the LCD displays alongside traditional analogue hands.

Van Cleef & Arpels Introduces A New Butterfly Motif To Its Lucky Spring Collection

First debuting in 2021, the iconic collection is the maison’s annual ode to the season.  Previously consisting of pieces in rose gold, the series now includes five new creations in 18K yellow gold: a long necklace, a five-motif bracelet, a clip, a Between the Finger ring, and a pair of earrings. The butterfly, a motif first introduced to the brand in 1906, has been reimagined in striking blue agate and lapis lazuli, with its body and antennae crafted in polished gold. A particularly charming piece is the Between the Finger ring, which depicts a butterfly hovering near a plum blossom and a lily-of-the-valley bud in white mother-of-pearl.

Dior Unveils Its New Haute Joaillerie Collection, Belle Dior

Victoire de Castellane, artistic director of Dior Joaillerie, turns to the enthralling beauty of gardens, the fabrics of Monsieur Dior’s ball gowns, and his fascination with celestial bodies for Belle Dior. This has been reimagined in 57 captivating and delicate pieces featuring gold, diamonds, and gemstones. A mysterious universe is captured through the Soleil Céleste set, comprising a ring, earrings, and a bracelet that can be transformed into a choker, as well as a brooch that can also be worn as a hair accessory. The set’s centrepiece is a necklace where crescent moons, stars, and flowers—crafted from orange and yellow diamonds and white opal on turquoise doublets—cascade like dazzling rainfall from the wearer’s neck.

Talisker Introduces The Magma 47-Year-Old, Limited To 622 Bottles

Something special this way comes from the Isle of Skye, in the form of the Talisker Magma 47-Year-Old. This impressively aged single malt whisky is a result of decades of maturation in refill American Oak hogsheads, and then finished for four months in new American Oak casks toasted by volcanic rocks found throughout the island that the Talisker distillery calls home. This process allows for a more controlled temperature compared to traditional open-flame methods, and the result, they say, is more depth and complexity and a better-balanced rendition of Talisker’s spicy, smoke-whiffed, maritime character. Only 622 bottles of this exceptionally rare expression will be released worldwide.
