Swiss bliss at the watchmaker’s new space in Starhill Gallery
Just last month, the newly renovated Audemars Piguet boutique in Starhill Gallery opened its doors to Kuala Lumpur’s watch collectors and cognoscenti. This 1,570 sq ft space, which inhabits Malaysia’s glitziest luxury shopping precinct of Bukit Bintang, has been remodelled with angular stone and glass panels. The resulting vision is one of avant-garde futurism, in line with this august watchmaker’s ethos and spirit as a rule breaker in the realm of horology.
Two sections within this swish boutique hark back to the tranquil vistas of Le Brassus – the alpine village from whence Audemars Piguet originated. ‘The Manufacture’ is a space dedicated to the brand’s scintillating timepieces as well as a watchmaker’s corner. Meanwhile, ‘The House’ includes a full service bar and lounge to offer customers an immersive and yet relaxing experience in browsing the collections, with a hot beverage or champagne in hand.
