Diptyque Has A Fragrance Inspired By A Powerful Love Affair

Newly Minted

Mint, geranium and patchouli lie at the heart the aromatic Eau de Minthé fragrance (RM699) from Diptyque, which takes its name from the nymph Minthé of Greek mythology, who was said to have had a passionate affair with Hades. To protect her from his irate wife Persephone, the ruler of the Underworld transformed her into a stem of mint – the touch point from where perfumers Myriam Badault and Fabrice Pellegrin began to collaborate. Determined to create a neo-vintage fougère scent, they’ve incorporated uplifting ferns and wild mint into a perfume that embraces a new olfactory landscape of pure freshness.
