Jungle gastronomy
The next phase of the masterfully-executed Chef Series by Datai Langkawi begins with the residency of Chef Nelly Robinson this 30 August. Following in the example of luminaries like Michel and Sébastien Bras, this epicurean program invites only the most captivating of chefs to delight casual guests and committed gastronomes alike.
First training under Nigel Hawoth of the Michelin-starred Northcote Manor at age 14, Robinson’s nel. restaurant has been the toast of Sydney, Australia. Robinson was also previously nominated for the Gault Millau Chef of the Year award in 2016 and 2017.
From 30 August to 1 September, the exciting chef takes inspiration from the fairy tales of his childhood, recreating all the joyous twists and unexpected turns that enraptured him as a young boy.
The three day program kicks off with a five-course meal overlooking breathtaking views of the rainforest canopy. On day two, Chef Robinson will host a complimentary cooking demonstration followed by lunch at the Beach Bar. To enhance the experience, diners will have the option to pair their delicate plats with equally exquisite vino from Sidewood Wines, the largest eco-sustainable winery in the Adelaide Hills.
A four-day-three-night package for two guests (inclusive of daily breakfast, dinner by Chef Robinson, 60-minute spa treatments, a lavishly-stocked mini bar and guided nature walks) is priced from RM5,940 + 10% service charge. While an extended eight-day-seven-night package begins from RM11,240 + 10% service charge.
