Swiss panache
Vitra debuts its first store in Kuala Lumpur, offering elegant Swiss home designs in a partnership with local furniture dealer Haus Living Concepts. Located in Jalan Maarof, Bangsar, the 200-square-metre store will showcase furniture for various scenarios – from living and dining rooms to home and professional offices settings.
“We take pleasure in giving our customers a place to experience our collection of classic and contemporary designs – where they can learn the heritage and value of products,” said Nora Fehlbaum, CEO of Vitra. “The store will also offer the architecture and design community in Malaysia a place to develop projects with Vitra both in the office and home sectors.”
At launch, Vitra’s The Home Collection highlights a range of tables, chairs, sofas and accessories. This includes the recently launched Vlinder sofa – a piece that combines the form of a modern sofa with a fabric that’s exclusively developed to fit the sofa’s unique shape.
Alongside key pieces from Vitra’s portfolio, the new store also contains an assortment of products by Artek, a Finnish brand owned by Vitra.

Family-owned since 1950, Vitra’s work stems from the conviction that everyday life holds great potential for inspiration and aesthetic enjoyment. Throughout its history, the company has seen classical furniture from figures such as Jean Prouve and Isamu Noguchi, alongside contemporary designs by Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec, Hella Jongerius, Jasper Morrison and more.
Haus Living Concepts, on the other hand, was founded in 2004 to offer Malaysians a range of internationally renowned home brands, with a focus on exceptional design, quality craftsmanship and lasting quality.
