There May Be No Better Place To Spend Your Downtime Than At Kauri Cliffs

With 180-degree views of the Pacific Ocean, three private beaches, and an award-winning championship golf course at your disposal – it all sounds too good to be true, but it’s very much the real deal at The Lodge at Kauri Cliffs. With the unveiling of three new private residences, originally developed for owner Julian Robertson’s children and their families, The Residences at Kauri Cliffs are a marvellous retreat nestled into the 2,428 hectares of farmland that overlook the Bay of Islands.

A stay at each of the Residences (priced from NZ$16,900 or RM46,065 and upwards), individually decorated by New Zealand interior designer Virginia Fisher, has four spacious guest bedrooms with private bathrooms – a treat for larger guest groups visiting Northland. Every need is catered for at the butler’s pantry (which offers an exclusive chef service), a spacious living and dining room complete with a family-sized kitchen, and a far-reaching veranda with a private saltwater swimming pool and deck.

The main lodge is only a short drive away by golf cart, allowing for access to the resort’s numerous facilities including its dining spaces, walking trails, tennis courts, and The Spa. Beside that, there’s enough to keep the entire family entertained, be it through sea-kayaking, land-based fishing, hiking through the ancient kauri forest, or plunging into an all-day surf safari along the local beaches.
