The French hotel once again works together with celebrity chef Dato’ Haji Ismail Ahmad to whip up three separate set menus featuring 15 signature dishes called ‘Gourmet To Go’. Familiar favourites the likes of sup ayam berempah, daging masak lemak cili padi, ikan goreng berlada and ayam golek istana grace the menus. Diners can also create their own meal with an à la carte menu with items such as roti canai with curry chicken, briyani rice, bubur lambuk daging and more. All orders need to be placed at least 24-hours in advance to ensure that your collection or delivery will be made on time. Available from 24 April to 23 May is Le Méridien Kuala Lumpur’s ‘Santapan Muhibbah’ spread (from RM50 nett per person) with six set menus to choose from for buka puasa, each ranging from individual portions to family meals containing an array of classic Malay dishes. All of the hotel’s signatures – Le Méridien nasi minyak haruman air wawar, bubur lambuk, beef rendang with coconut flakes, and roasted whole lamb with cous cous and vegetables – make a return. Each dish is prepared à la sous-vide, with instructional videos to guide diners with reheating instructions to ensure a piping hot meal at home.

EQ’s Nipah welcomes the festive season with Citarasa, four festive set menus for individuals (RM35 per set) and a larger family-style feast (RM238) available for delivery and takeaway from now until 23 May. There’s a choice of either briyani gam Johor with a choice of chicken or lamb, as well as tandoori chicken and Hainanese chicken rice for individuals, while the family set is the full monty – Mariami dates, roast lamb, ayam golek with percik sauce, and ayam kurma berkentang, among others. Alila Bangsar’s modern French restaurant Entier, helmed by the charismatic Masashi Horiuchi, may not immediately come to mind for a typical buka puasa spread but its dishes will win you over. Order the Josper-grilled Australian lamb rack for a hearty main, followed by grilled cauliflower with mornay sauce, parmesan cheese and thyme oil, white sweet corn with seaweed butter and Parmesan cheese and russet potatoes with milk and cream for a surefire dinner hit at home. The restaurant is available for takeaway daily from 11am to 8pm.

Hilton hotels across Malaysia unveils a large assortment of take-home set menus (from RM30 to RM1650) available throughout the festive period until 23 May. The focus of these menus will undoubtedly be the varying kampong-style dishes, but the properties also throw in a variety of Chinese and Indian dishes to keep the menus varied. Highlights include nasi lemak served with fried chicken, prawn sambal, hardboiled egg, anchovies, peanuts and acar, ‘Bubur Lambuk Pak Pander’ – a porridge of chicken with cumin, ginger, lemongrass, coconut milk with fried shallots and spring onion, and ‘Sup Berempah Pak Deli’– beef rib, beef tail, beef lung, beef strips, beef tongue and lamb served with sambal kicap, sambal merah utara, spring onion and fried shallots.
