Join This Webinar With IWC’s Christian Knoop To Know More About The Brand’s Best Watches

Join Robb Report’s Happy Hour with Robb – a new virtual webinar series – as we take you on a discovery of this year’s inspired Portugieser collection by IWC Schaffhausen together with the brand’s Creative Director Christian Knoop. Since receiving his first wristwatch at the age of 8, Knoop has held a lifelong fascination of timepieces. His journey of creativity has led him to hone his creative skills – graduating in Industrial Design before working at several design agencies. Since 2010, he has served as IWC Schaffhausen’s Creative Director – overseeing many successful collections; Portofino, Da Vinci, Ingenieur, Aquatimer, Pilot’s Watches and, this year, the Portugieser.

Within this half-hour session, we invite readers to join us as we talk to Knoop to find out about life at Schaffhausen, how IWC Schaffhausen’s recognisable watch designs are conceived and birthed and get into this year’s outstanding Portugieser collection, which gets a re-boot with a new perpetual calendar, nautical sports chronograph and the first watch fitted with a tide indication. This collection large personality and elegant style also introduces the most compact Portugieser in recent times – the Automatic 40mm. Experience this collections origins from 1939 when it was conceived as a wristwatch with pocket watch-precision for two Portuguese merchants, to its modern-day evolution with this year’s highlights including the first-ever Portugieser with a tide indicator provided by an in-house calibre.

You may also ask questions throughout the duration of this session to Knoop via the Q&A message board – particularly if you have already examined the collection (some in augmented reality!) via this link or scanning these QR codes.

Send us questions in advance and the best and/or intriguing questions will be directed at Knoop during a rapid-fire round towards the end of the webinar.

Happy Hour with Robb webinar featuring IWC’s Christian Knoop happens at 7.30 pm on 26 May (Tuesday) 2020.
