Tian Siang Premium Auto Looks To The Future With A New Body & Paint Centre Offering New Services

Tian Siang Premium Auto is synonymous with its 4S BMW dealerships and has been a mainstay of Malaysia’s automotive retail scene with the largest dealer network in the northern region. Its Ipoh dealership is nearing 15 years in operation, while the coming months will see its Penang dealership in Butterworth welcoming a new Body & Paint centre. This centre will offer a full suite of services, such as accident claim processing, minor and major repair, body paint work and so on, with all the services carried out in accordance with BMW standards and using BMW-approved equipment.

The showroom in Ipoh is backgrounded by the city’s famous limestone hills.

Throughout this time, the dealership’s key sustainability focus has centred on offering top customer experiences, engendering loyalty and burnishing its reputation. For its managing director Tan Ka Kin, the secret sauce has been the trust from satisfied clients. “These relationships generated by our clients’ trust has enabled us to sustain the business in the long run as our clients become our brand ambassadors and recommend their circle of friends to us,” he states. This ethos has also helped Tian Siang Premium Auto clinch the Best Customer Satisfaction award in the BMW network for eight consecutive years.

Tian Siang Premium Auto has led the way in innovating, being the first BMW authorised dealership to host Facebook Live events to introduce the latest BMW models and BMW Premium Selection models. “Flexibility has always been an important aspect of our business,” Tan notes. “During the pandemic, it became even more crucial.” With doorstep car service pick-ups and test drives, the dealership facilitated safer and more convenient options for its clients and prospects. In addition, supply-side disruption was minimised through close cooperation with BMW Malaysia and its parts distribution centre, prioritising deliveries required for emergency repairs and maintenance.

Tan remembers the advice he received from Wolfgang Schlimme, who was the first managing director of BMW Malaysia when Tian Siang Premium Auto was starting out in Ipoh. The dealership was struggling to penetrate the city’s premium car market, but Schlimme counselled Tan and his team to stay the course and to let a positive mindset overcome challenges and become the foundation for good results.

For Tan, the rewarding journey at Tian Siang Premium Auto, with its now deep client relationships and integration of state-of-art BMW standards and global innovation, has also enabled the dealership to hit new heights – as can be seen with its expansion plans on the heels of the disruptive year and more.

“We are now ready to transform our practices with new approaches and always by working as a team,” he affirms. “A positive working culture of teamwork in our organisation is crucial.” With Tian Siang Premium Auto’s unbroken track record as winner of the BMW Excellence Club over the past decade, there’s no doubt that it is superbly poised to support and impress its clientele in the months and years to come.
