A Timely Pairing Between Hublot And Cheval Blanc Randheli
Just in time for its 9th anniversary, Cheval Blanc Randheli in The Maldives unveils the continuation to its successful partnership with Hublot. Two edition of twenty-five numbered pieces commemorate the anniversary of one of The Maldives’ most exquisite resort. On both the Big bang Unico Cheval Blanc Randheli and Big Bang One Click Cheval Blanc Randheli, design elements recall the resort’s elements; from shades of taupe and ‘pop yellow sun’ these two timepieces are reminiscent of days spent on the wooden decks, enjoying the sun’s rays and gorgeous endless horizons of turquoise. This year’s editions represent the third release of the Hublot and Cheval Blanc Randheli, with naturally sold-out versions of the 2016 and 2017 collaborations. For those who have already planned their trip to this island paradise, you might perchance find these special editions at the Maison Concept Store on the island, where you find one of Hublot’s most iconic boutiques across the world.
Icons And New Discoveries At Prada’s Revamped Store
From Milan to Kuala Lumpur, Prada’s revamped store located in Pavilion Kuala Lumpur boasts an interior suffused with elements of the original Prada store, located in the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II. Among them: iconic pastel greens, interpreted in the historic Prada niche, black and white chequered marble floors and mid-century Italian furniture. At the reopening of this 340-square metre store, a host of celebrities, including Thai actor Metawin Opas-iamkajorn, better known as Win, perused the new collections of ready-to-wear, leather goods, footwear and accessories, including a men’s area on the upper floor, where the discerning stylish gentleman can also bespoke his own Prada jacket or suit utilising an astonishing range of fabrics proprietary to the Milanese fashion house.

Bruichladdich’s New Generation Of Ultra-Peated Whisky
As it does every year, Bruichladdich’s Octomore arrives as a trio of the most heavily peated whiskies on the market, catering only to the most adventurous of connoisseurs. The 13th series of Octomore, as usual, consists of three different expressions: 13.1, matured in first-fill American oak casks; 13.2, which is not a travel retail exclusive as in normally might have been and aged in ex-Oloroso sherry butts from Spain; and 13.3, created entirely with barley from a dedicated field in the distillery’s home of Islay. While of disparate characters – 13.1 has a jammy sweetness, 13.2 tastes of dried fruits and the sea, and 13.3 has a malty note – they are all united by the smoke and rich, vegetal punch that peat lovers look for.
Royal Selangor’s Gifts Of Style And Substance
Instead of presents that may end up as white elephants, why not give the gift of both style and substance? The Modernist Chess Set from Royal Selangor (RM4,500) is inspired by Bauhaus sensibilities, and is handsomely made of walnut, maple and pewter. Whether your match takes days or decades, it will make for a worthy conversation-starter in any room. The minimalist chess pieces are weighted, though, so avoid the temptation to use them as interrogation tools if you suspect your opponent is cheating. Meanwhile, the William Morris Bottle Chiller (RM1,200) will also make for a fine Christmas gift; it seamlessly transitions to elegant vase, if you’re in need of a detox after the year-end festivities. And what better way for a mental and physical cleanse than with a Sense 3-wick Sage Candle (RM690)? Its yellow pine lid also pulls double duty, acting as a trivet or coaster when you’ve lit the soy beeswax blend candle with wood wicks.
