This New Breitling Avenger Chronograph Is Made Out Of Jet Plane Materials

Unlike its more traditionally rooted stablemates, the Breitling Avenger is literally a 21st-century collection, having been released in 2001. As such, it gives off the air of the brash, fearless younger brother—big, bold, contemporary and originally built with jet pilots in mind.

The end of 2023 saw an update for the Avenger line-up, with offerings including a 42mm automatic, a 44mm GMT, and a 44mm chronograph. The latter includes the Avenger B01 Chronograph 44 Night Mission (from RM39,050), which consists of a pair of executions with extra aesthetic panache. Available in either a vibrant yellow or carbon black dial, it has a case constructed out of scratch-resistant ceramic, while parts such as caseback, crown, pushers and buckle are made from titanium. The combination of these two high-performance materials lends the watch exceptional toughness and lightness.

It is powered by the Breitling Manufacture Calibre 01, which is a self-winding, three-register chronograph movement with a column wheel and vertical clutch. It boasts a 70-hour power reserve, with the watch itself rated to 300m of water resistance.
