Rosewood has officially revealed its first branded condo project in the U.S., and Robb Report got a sneak peek inside. The luxury hotel group is making its stateside debut with the sales launch of Rosewood Residences Beverly Hills. Spearheaded by developers Nahla Capital and GPI Companies, the four-story building, designed by NYC-based architect Thomas Juul-Hansen, will be completed and welcoming residents by the end of this year. The project also marks the hotel brand’s first standalone condominium residences in California.
“There has never been a property like Rosewood Residences Beverly Hills in the L.A. luxury market that offers the highest level of service and lifestyle with unprecedented generosity of space,” Genghis Hadi, co-founder and managing principal of Nahla Capital, told Robb Report. Located on the site of the now-demolished Friars Club on Santa Monica Boulevard, the development comprises 17 ultra-luxury units, including six super-luxe penthouses, ranging from roughly 3,000 to 7,500 square feet, with pricing starting at $10 million.
“With over $50 million already in contract, buyers are responding with resounding positivity for the quality of the residences,” Hadi added. “We have many prospects who are rightsizing from large estates and realizing that Rosewood Residences Beverly Hills is the only fully-serviced condominium that can deliver an estate alternative with incomparable privacy and an unmatched indoor/outdoor living and entertaining experience.”
All of the homes feature direct elevator access, large entry foyers, and oversized kitchens by Molteni&C. Plus, buyers will find custom hardware, top-of-the-line appliances, wide-plank white oak floors, and Venetian plaster walls. Elsewhere, the bedroom suites are decked out with walk-in closets, and the primary bathrooms sport underfloor heating, marble vanities, and hand-finished cast iron soaking tubs. Most notable, six out of the 17 units have the added perks of a private pool and spa tub, an outdoor kitchen and sprawling terraces for alfresco dining.
Among the standout amenities at Rosewood Residences Beverly Hills are a communal 50-foot rooftop pool in addition to a sky-high lounge with views of the city. There’s also a state-of-the-art fitness center. In addition, residents will have access to a slew of a la carte, VIP services including housekeeping and daily turn-down service. The building’s staff can also arrange dinner reservations, secure access to special events, provide personal training services, and coordinate in-residence spa treatments and private chefs.
“Beverly Hills is always in style, but the prestigious address of Rosewood Residences Beverly Hills is second to none, nestled on a beautiful stretch of the streetscape surrounded by internationally recognized dining and the best boutiques in the world,” Hadi explained. “It’s an irreplaceable location, and the lifestyle our residents experience will truly continue once they step outside.”
